I mostly remember him being a huge dickhead in games against teams other than the Cubs. I respect his arm and pitching ability but I have no respect for the way he carried himself on the mound, barking shit constantly at the batters. |

And yes, Chris Carpenter was a grade-A douchebag on numerous occasions, often when he was doing some of his finest work on the mound. Nothing wrong with being of the opinion that you don't care since he was doing great things for your team, but don't sound shocked when his retirement is met with this reaction. |
