With the Astros,Cubs, Marlins,Twins...and regular day players hitting a buck fifty. This has been the worst baseball I have seen in my life. I guess more players were on PED's than I can imagine. The game just blows now.

It does seem a little sucky now that you mention it.

Your attempt at being clever by showing this means you can not make a point

Who said anything about being clever? I like home runs, sorry you're in such a rush to be a jerk you have to make stuff up to do it.

Because no pictures exist of a Florida Marlins home game that aren't in a empty stadium

Walt's performance in this thread is a dark age.

While I enjoyed the steroid era, I also like traditional baseball of the 80's and earlier.

Kevin Brown was a piece of garbage and a disgrace.

A few years ago, you remember the Nike commercials where "Chicks dig the long ball?"

Well, even though many of the ballparks in Major League Baseball including BOTH of them here have been considered for years to be launching pads, I don't think it's any accident that a lot of the offensive stats around the league have declined in recent years.

One of the things I've noticed is that while Boston Red Sox & New York Yankees' games, for example, take an eternity to finish because their hitters take a lot of pitches, the same can't be said for other teams & players. I'm not sure if it starts in the minors, but this much appears clear to me. There doesn't seem to be a lot of patience among today's hitters and the results seem to speak for themselves.

Acquiring him at the ripe age of 39. Another great deal by the New York Yankees.

Don't knock the Yankees too much. They've been in 1st place all season with a makeshift lineup and a lot of injuries. All indications are pointing towards 1B Mark Teixeira & 3B Kevin Youkilis returning this weekend vs. the...wait for it...Red Sox in the Bronx.

So can I, but the Yankees are still...as Charlie Sheen would say...

I disagree. The run environment is down, yes.
I'd much rather watch a 3-2 pitchers duel with managerial strategy than a 10-8 slugfest.

If you prefer that brand of baseball, feel free to go back to 1987 RBI Baseball.

Yeah, he's a penius, but his actual sports posts are fairly solid. Unlike SHARK or KS.
