The Brand's trolling attempts aren't really useful because they lack the insight needed to actually be significant.

The (Twins, no I mean the Royals, no I mean the Indians) will finish second, pitchers who pitch a lot may get injured, and saying "Sux" really doesn't get the job done.

It doesn't take a genius to predict that extremely likely scenarios will come to fruition, as the hooded one does. He pats himself on the back when a pitcher misses a start. "I told you he was gonna get hurt". Many of his predictions change midstream, when he realizes that they won't happen. Like last year. All year long, it was "The Tigers win the division by five games". When that wasn't going to happen, the prediction became, "I told you the Tigers would win the division". What about his math fails with Darkside? Haaarible.



Not as many as ANY Cubs fan, but he does at least go with some facts and reality.

I wasn't saying that good dolphin knows more than anyone. I'm saying his posts bring up as many interesting points as any Cubs fan. I think that is accurate.

Anyways, trolling is an art, takes time to learn and requires a dash of self-awareness. Some got it, some don't.

Steve is predictable but he doesn't bother me. I prefer his honesty. GD is usually good for a laugh and he isn't predictable outside of Cubs sections. This comparison is bad for a lot of reasons.

You think he had good points, because most of the time he's trolling Cub fans and that interests you.

He has very few non trolling posts about the cubs

Trolling and making good points are not mutually exclusive.

That is not the whole UMN story.

He is not a homer with the Cubs like the Packers and his knowledge of the minor leagues is unmatched by anyone on this board.

He certainly is a Cubs homer. He seems to have good knowledge of the minor league system, but like good dolphin, I think it's mostly pointless to pay attention to. I think I'm ok that I didn't follow the rise of Tyler Flowers. I can wait until he plays for the only team that really matters.

I get caught up in the other teams but Im always looking for any NFL talent. Same with basketball.

I couldn't tell you the top MLB prospect in the country right now. I couldn't name one in the top 10. This is beyond silly.

A BIG part of people watching college sports is previewing the pros. Its not even a discussion.

That's why Mock drafts and guys like Kiper exist.

yes, there are rabid fans of college only, but to act like watching for the pros is rare is crazy.

That is why you hear "he'll be playing on sundays" and the spotlight on that player in virtually EVERY major college football broadcast

You are overstating it. Yes, clearly the NFL prospects of a player can come in to play, but it's one of many themes that are talked about. You get much more Heisman talk than you do pro potential. It's a little different in the bowls because the bowls are often like the last game tape that big time players will do.

Also, pro prospects are normally used as a way to describe the strength of the teams. For instance, Alabama has 8 players who will be playing on Sunday or as a way to describe how well they recruit like how Alabama has pro prospects currently in backup roles.

Anyone who watches college sports primarily to "scout" future NFL players is wasting their time unless they are being paid to do so. What really matter is the stuff that happens after the season anyways.
