I am in agreement with RPB, watching Jackson perform in that all star game is something I will never forget. Also, the tie game at Miller Park, because I was there. |

Dave Parker (in banana suit) in the 1979 game throws a missile to home to nail a runner. ONe of the best throws I have seen. |

It wasn't just Ted though. It was the all century team. When you consider who was playing in the '99 AS game, it was without question the greatest gathering of ballplayers on one field we had ever seen. |

Nice pic. I had forgotten Gossage was with the Sox. Why did they get rid of him? |

Believe he lost the '75 Allstar game giving up a hit to a Cub who was Co MVP the only Chicago player to be one....who was it and who was he co mvp with...don't google it |

Fergies All-Star "Moment": The 6-foot-5 right-hander proceeded to strike out six of the best sluggers in modern American League (AL) history. He sat down Harmon Killebrew (led AL with 44 homers), Tony Conigliaro (hitting .297), Mickey Mantle (hit his 500th homer on May 14), Jim Fregosi (went on to be a six-time All-Star), Rod Carew (future seven-time AL batting crown winner) and Tony Oliva (who would win three AL batting crowns). |
