Fox and Fox Sports 1 will both televise Game 1 of the NLCS, with FS1 airing a multicast presented by their digital 'Just A Bit Outside' crew

Fox Sports 1 will be the home of Games 1-5 and 7 NLCS and most of the NLDS this season. Fox will air NLCS 1 and 6, entire World Series.

Why is Game 6 so crucial that they had to put it on the regular network?

Game 1 will only be on F1 if its on Sunday night. It might be on Saturday on Fox

Obviously they dont want Sunday games. Because of Sunday night football?

I love baseball and it is sad to me that a playoff baseball game will get crushed by a Sunday night football game. But, I have come to expect it.

And because their programming on Sunday probably have much better ratings than baseball games.

I have to believe the ratings for these series suck compared to usual programming. That basically means that, unless its a Saturday, Fox would rather have regularly scheduled programming on.

I feel that way about hockey but not baseball. I want baseball to be mass-appeal. I thought nothing was supposed to be more universal than baseball. Apparently singing/dancing competitions where contestants are sequentially eliminated by phone voting are.

Fox has been sweeping the MLB under the rug for a few seasons now. Seems they just hung on to the rights so they had something to put on FS1. Don't be surprised if "The Game of the Week" goes on there in a few seasons. #RIPNetworkBaseball

Plus they have the local radio streams on At Bat. A side note: Why do people care about ratings? Are you concerned with how rich baseball makes billionaires? And isn't it a good thing the MLB doesn't appeal to a general American audience? Because, like, have you seen what most people in this country enjoy? I honestly start sympathizing with the 9/11 hijackers and rooting for ISIS when I think about the average American and what they enjoy. The best thing that could possibly happen to baseball is to make it unpalatable to Americans. If it does it'll just turn into the out-of-control shitshow of the NFL.

I've had At Bat and MLB.TV for years and the playoff games are a waste on them. This year you may actually get the real broadcast provided you have the cable channel it's showing on.
