Post subject:  Phil Hughes

Thought about putting this in the DBOTW section (for Ron Gardenhire, who said he wouldn't use Hughes in relief this weekend despite Hughes needing just one more out for $500k), but was surprised to see Hughes set the record for K/BB ratio.

I guess he'll have to somehow make due with the 24 million dollar 100% guaranteed contract

Hughes gave up 16 walks in 209-2/3 IP for a .687 ratio per 9. The best Maddux ever did was .774.
