Make the game seven innings (thus no need for the 7th inning stretch
Eliminate Mascot Races
Institute a 24 second pitch clock...if it isn't pitched in 24 seconds it's a ball
Give us yours :D

i was the one who had the idea of a play clock for pitches. but it should be 12 seconds not 24

mascot races are great

and if you are implying they should sell beer for the entire length of the game i completely agree.

Go from 4 balls, 3 strikes to 3 balls, 2 strikes. Forces both pitchers and hitters to be aggressive, shortening games and increasing offense.

Eliminate God Bless America at Yankees games
Eliminate Yankees/Red Sox games
Limit pitching changes to once an inning
Make the intentional walk automatic instead of wasting 4 pitches.

No changes were needed, IMO.

I love the one foot in the box rule. Hitters and their antics have gone too far. Enough of the grandstanding. Keep your dumb ass in the box and swing the fuckin bat.

I think more pitchers are the problem than hitters, though I agree both pitchers and hitters should get ready to pitch/hit more quickly.

Eliminate extra innings and replace them with a home run derby.

I love tense late inning situations. No need to rush them

Post subject:  Re: CSFMB on ways to speed up the game!

1. One pitching change per inning
2. One feed inside batters box

These together solve the problem.

I'd also add in the following, but I know it will never happen.
3. expand strike zone

You might as well add a 4-point line in basketball, and touchdowns scored on fumble recoveries, interceptions, and special teams count double in football. And in hockey, the goal is put on a track and moves left to right at 10 mph along the red line.

Epstein is practically a millennial. What does he know? The Cubs don't currently have a LOOGY.

hey for shits and giggles: do you think anyone in the history of the CSFMB has ever referred to a godfella post outside of a direct quote?

This isn't 4chan. Pulling the "I'm more internet famous" card here isn't going to make your thoughts any more valid.

Hardly.

It would change the sport significantly. As would all scenarios I presented.
