I always am amused when they say Ty Cobb was a racist to disparage him. Don't get me wrong. Racism is bad. He was a racist. But you know what? SO WAS EVERY BASEBALL PLAYER IN THE 1920s. Furthermore, MLB, as an institution, was racist. AS THEY DIDN"T ALLOW BLACK PLAYERS IN THEIR LEAGUE. :roll: So to point this out about Cobb is laughable.

Also, the majority of white males who didn't play baseball were also racist in the 1920s.
