Jim Hendry's Barrell regrets that trade. We got Olt and CJ Whatshismame out of the deal. So, we got that going for us...

The Rich Harden trade was the right move at the time but we did give up Donaldson.

Looking at Fangraphs leaderboards you have Chris Archer as the #1 pitcher as Donaldson as the #3 position player :lol:

Trying to be diplomatic here, but this kind of thing happens to every organization. It also speaks to the ability of a prospects org to get the most out of a prospect.

I believe Jim Hendry actually said Archer would be a star when he traded him and I am by no means a Hendry fan as a GM!

In general, dont think Jimmy did much homework on players. he worked from the gut...'Steak Dinner Boom"...he signed guys he liked..

So his Aim was fine, his choice of what he was aiming at was the problem.
