Bruce Levine reporting that he will pitch tomorrow and then retire, and won't pitch in the playoffs. |

ah ok. I took it as he was told he wasn't part of the plan for the playoffs and was retiring. |

I wonder if he will fulfill a lifelong dream of pitching for his boyhood favorite team St. Louis Cardinals? I've read/saw countless interviews of him wanting to be involved in the Cardinals Organization before he totally leaves the game in some capacity... player, coach, etc. |

So they're leaving a guy with 15 wins and a 3.8 ERA along with a WS ring off their roster? what am I missing here? |

Lol, they wanted to get him 2 innings so he could keep his streak of 200-inning seasons (15 years running), and he only lasted 0.2. |
