Yeah it was a moon shot. The Tigers were up 5-0 in that game now it's 7-7 b9. Get used to that. |

Chris Carter went deep today. I'd like to see 34 more of those. He was one of my out of the box picks in a home run pool. |

Trevor Story is off to quite the start ... in the first 3 games he has 4 HRs (and 14 RBIs incidentally) which if he theoretically kept that pace up would give him a total of 216 HRs for the season, giving him an OPS+ of 267 ... a very silly number indeed (last year's leader was Bryce Harper @ 195). Funny thing is, back in 2002, Bonds' OPS+ for the year was 268. Again ... Trevor Story's theoretical OPS+ would still be just under Bonds' actual one. Thankfully, PEDs had no real effect since "everyone" was doing them. |

Damn I was hoping K-Rod would blow that game. Shaky save to put it nicely. His stuff looks way short. |

Sean Manaea doesn't look like the same guy I saw get his brains beatin in at ISU during his draft year. That was in the middle of his rough stretch that dropped him out of the 1st round. He's rockin a full windup and dropped his arm slot to low 3/4. This cat looks a lot smoother and deceptive than the guy I saw a few years ago. I like it. |

Yeah I did a double take on the NY teams as well. With the Yankees your first thought is teammates before the 80's but then you realize, damn, those early 90's Yanks stuck around forever. In fact, didn't they have to push Posada out the door kicking and screaming? |

Nomar Mazara hit a go ahead home run in the top of the 8th then threw a missile to cut down the tying run in the bottom of the 8th. Kid's gonna be a monster. |

Carlos Gomez just got thrown out of the game for arguing with the 1st base umpire between innings. It was a weird scene. He was going out to his position and just started yelling at him. Gomez is a fuckin idiot. |
