Pittsburgh so they can complete the decimation of Pennsylvania that was started in 2010.

He's a great player but fucking Crosby is a little punk. Tough guy wants to jab the goalie as he's skating off for the period. Then is going to chest up to Chara as long as the linesman is between them.

I'm a Bruins fan but I think the Hawks will lose to either team quite honestly. Penguins would be a skill vs skill matchup and would be a more open series and better to watch IMO.

Pshhhhhhhhhhhhh. We got 2 goals on the greatest goal tender of all time today. We are sweeping either Boston or Pitts

I like either Western Conference team over either Eastern Conference team. Boston reminds me of Detroit and the Pens may score 4 but give up 7 a game.

Disagree. Hawks are the best team in the game and should be expected to win every series. The only reason these so called experts are picking the Kings over the Hawks is because they're in love with how things are currently (Hawks were down 3-1 to the Wings so they're not that good now). This doesn't mean the Hawks will win it all, obviously. But on paper, they should.

It's hard to say since we never played against either team this season but if I were to guess from what I've seen from both teams...

Vs the Penguins, the Penguins can't skate with the Hawks with all 4 lines. Hawks should win the 5 v 5 battle and winning the series comes down to just staying out of the box.

Vs the Bruins. Can play the Hawks better 5 v 5 than the Penguins could. Solid defensively and has timely goal scoring. A better version of the Kings but without the best goalie in the world.

Hawks probably match up better with the Penguins but who knows.

I would have predicted Bruins would be tough for Pens. Sorry late on that.

Gotta give the Pens fans some credit. Listening to the Pens radio feed and their arena mic is really good. Fans started a "Let's Go Pens" chant and Sutter scores.

The UC crowd down 3-0 would give Miami Marlins crowd a run for their money in making some noise.

From Puck Daddy:
Quote:
Sidney Crosby, Evgeni Malkin, Kris Letang, James Neal and Jarome Iginla are a combined minus-19 without a single point scored through games

Bravo. With that kind of skill those players have to purposely not give a fuck to earn that accomplishment.

The problem with the Pens and their fans is its all about scoring, Cindy and Letang love. They do not encourage or respect defense.

So, getting pretty annoyed by all the crying about announcing from every damn fanbase. Hawks fans were crying about being stuck with Strader, Panger and Engblom instead of Doc, Edzo and Pierre. But then when we get the A team the whining about Pierre is non-stop. Wings fans couldn't stop bitching about how NBC would only talk about what's wrong with the Hawks (imaginary television..).

Yesterday I guess pissed off a bunch of Bostonians and other hockey fans because the announcers were discussing what's wrong with the Penguins and what they should do next instead of focusing 100% on a 5-1 blowout. I'm sorry they desire a close interesting hockey series as does every other hockey fan not in fucking Boston. The worst part is the call for Jack Edwards. That offensive dickhead putz is the worst announcer in the NHL. A fucking phony shit eating hack. Honestly, I want Pittsburgh to win so NBC will talk Crosby 24/7 and Bostonians can go focus jerking it to pictures of David Ortiz.

Sports fans are the fucking worst. Complaining about officiating is pretty annoying but the announcer bashing is fucking unreal.

Edit: Canadian hockey fans can go fuck themselves too. Oooooh, oooooh, ooooh, you should listen to CBC broadcasts b/c they are soooo much better. Right, the production is much better but then you're stuck listening to a decrepit Bob Cole who is 5-10 seconds behind every play. And then you have the biggest cuntswab in Canada making an ass of himself during Coach's Corner. Take CBC and shove it up your ass hosers.

I was fine with Strader/Pang/Engblom. Strader is annoying in that roughly 40% of his goal calls are "oh it went in the net!", but he's been fine so far. I'll bitch about Doc and Pierre all I like, thank you.

My biggest frustration isn't necessarily the criticism about the announcing but the alternatives these assholes are offering. Instead of Strader/Panger/Engblom they want Doc/Edzo and Pierrie? The fuck? The calls for Jack Edwards put me over the top. He's mentally deranged.

You criticize the announcing but I don't get the vibe the joy of winning the game has somehow been dampened by Doc & Pierrie. But, if so, fuck you. :P

I have always found that radio broadcasts are better than the television announcing of the same game. For radio guys, they are forced to describe the action and paint the picture. It is much more difficult for tv guys because they are often stating the obvious or saying something that you can see makes no sense. When listening to the radio, you have to trust the announcer's judgement.

I complain about the announcers as much as anyone because they get on my nerves. Many times, I wish they would just go silent and let the game showcase itself. My main complaints:

Doc: Overly excited at seemingly mundane and routine plays. I love excitable announcers, but they need to do it on plays that warrant such voice raising.
Eddie: He is way too patronizing. Every camera crew and support staff is the best in the business. This particularly galls me on Comcast broadcasts. Regular viewers notice the poor quality of those broadcasts.
Pierre: I just think he looks silly squeezed in between the benches. He also gives a strange gaze when interviewing players.

Those are valid criticisms instead of, "They didn't talk about my team enough during the broadcast of our win! Our normal broadcaster wouldn't have done that!"

Those people need to stick their heads in acid.

Fair, but I really enjoy Doc Emrick. Maybe his default buildup in his voice is too high for mundane plays early in the 1st, but his voice is playoff hockey to me. Can never get enough.

I want a puck to hit Pierre Maguire between the eyes. My hatred of him is strictly "Edzo...look at me Edzo...I know hockey Edzo...can I suck your cock Edzo?"

There's a hockeyporn joke in there somewhere. Talk about high sticking? Shot through the five hole? I'm too tired to think of it.
