I bet Kadri gets 5 games for crosschecking Debrusk in the head. Debrusk was playing like a punk but you can't crosscheck someone in the head. If I am Dubas, that is the last game he plays for Toronto. This is 2 years in a row that Kadri selfishly got him taken out of a series because he could not control his emotions.

Ugh, flashbacks to the 2012 series where he shut down the Hawks.

For some reason I hate the Avs. No clue why. But I was a fan of the Flames after getting to watch some hockey in the saddle dome back in 88 so I need no encouragement to cheer for the flames but I do love those uniforms.

Liked them during the Sakic/Roy years, could care less about them now.

I think it’s a weird fondness of the old Nordiques team and maybe some resentment towards the move. All sunbconcious dislike by now mind you.

For me, it was the unis and they seemed to be the only team that could beat Detroit in the west.

Let me help: the old O'Reilly/Duchene/Stastny Avs teams from 2009-2015 were a thorn in the Hawks' side no matter how bad they were -- and more often than not they were bad, all right -- because they would gun it while the Hawks would usually keep it in second gear, and then every time they so much as scored a goal, they would all lose their shit like it was Game 7 sudden death of the Cup Final. They were never on the level of the teams we actually had to deal with in best-of-sevens, because the one time they actually did crack the playoffs they promptly got owned by a fourth-place Minnesota team, but they were supremely irritating for what they were. It was like if the Detroit Lions squeaked out a win one week and immediately released a rap song about the Super Bowl.

That was a nice shorty.

I’m wondering if my hatred might also have to do with living in the market from 96-2000. Because I was bombarded with Colorado sports. I think it’s nostalgia though and feel like the Quebec fans got robbed of good teams. Also.. their sweater sucks.

Flames tie it up.

That Saddledome is awesome for crowd noise.

What happened and continues to happen to the Quebec City fanbase is shameful. The league broke up their roster, then they let the Canadiens keep them off most television, they didn't do anything about exchange rate and revenue sharing, and led the province on into building a state-of-the-art arena for no one. And then you have dunderheads who say things like "the Canadiens are already there, a team wouldn't add anything." Montreal and Quebec are different cities!

Montreal and Quebec - 157 miles apart
Vancouver and Seattle- 192 miles

NHL's reasoning is retarded.

Deadspin wrote about this the other day and someone commented that he had to fly into Quebec City's airport and was immediately unimpressed with the market. If having a shithole airport disqualifies a metropolitan area from having an NHL team, then last I checked, say goodbye to the St. Louis Blues.

Grubauer with a great save in a scrum to keep the game tied at 2.

The Avs are an incredibly annoying team. Landeskog and Mackinnon have an entitled, millennial vibe I don't care. Just an immature team whether it is disrespecting their coach or planning end-of-the-season vacations since they were missing the playoffs. I forget who the veteran dman was who called them out a couple years but it really spoke to their lousy culture. Landeskog has always been a redass and someone I wanted to see get drilled when playing the Hawks. At least they don't have that girlfriend-abusing Russian goalie playing. So yeah, I don't like the Avs either.

And fuck Mike Smith. Couldn't stand that fucker in 2012. Talk about a showboat. The rest of Calgary is fun to watch. And I think everyone loves those red/yellow unis.

This evening will be great with Columbus/Tampa and StL/Winnipeg going on at the same time. Looks like I'll have a game on the TV and one on the tablet. And then GOT.... What a great evening of TV.

I thought it was J-S Giguere who objected to everyone's attitude just before his retirement.

Columbus going up 3-0 on Tampa Bay.

Huge upset if Tampa Bay loses the series.

I said that it would take a small miracle for the Bolts to not march right through and take the Cup. Of course, there was always a possibility they wouldn’t, but never would I have thought a) it would be a first round out, b) that of all teams, it would be the Jacket to knock them out, and c) a sweep.

I would LOVE to be so wrong.
