It's pretty hard to tell. No Stamkos and no Stralman hurts a lot, but Palat/Johnson/Kucherov could easily light up Greiss. Hope they don't, I've already had enough of them.

Yeah, this is a rough one. The whole West is insufferable.

True but Dallas' goal-tending blows. They will lose to the blues.
Not sure of SJ. They face the Preds winner. Nashville is good but I don't think they are good enough to hold off the Sharks.

A former work colleague of mine thinks the Blues will win the cup this year.

I want the Isles to win it.

I KNOW Anaheim is basically L.A. for all intents and purposes, so I guess it should be expected, but still - a fuck ton of empty seats for a Game 7? Fuck the Duck and their alleged fan base.

Frankly, I suppose the Perds would be the least objectionable team left in the West. I would also be somewhat OK with the Sharks, but only because I feel a bit sorry for them for all of their prior choke jobs.

Pretty sad for a cup contender playing in a Game 7. And the NHL is looking at expanding?

Perds up 2-0. Bruce Boudreau gonna lose another job 'cos he can't win the big one.

Ducks hanging by a thread with under a period to play. Gonna be pretty lame if the Perds have a better season than the Hawks by finishing belong them. But still, fuck Getzlaf, Perry, Kesler, and Bieksa. There is no winner tonight in my book.

I agree with all of this. Definitly rooting for the Preds vs the Dicks.

Rooting for the Stars because of the ex-Hawks

Ducks fans are pretty lame, but Perds fans are the Cardinals fans of hockey: holier-than-thou, cheerily racist (these New South arrivistes, pull the string and watch 'em go about Chicago, it's like a whole fanbase of Scorehead), and sensitive as shit. These guys talk about all the great bars they have and what good hosts they are, then when people from any point north come and get drunk, they turn into a bunch of fucking PTA moms wailing about Mean Hawks Fans saying "crap" in front of their little baby boys. What duplicitous fucks. May you never win a thing.

I didn't go to a hockey game but the Nashvillians were nice to me. I've said before, the Predators/Hawks games are usually pretty good and they aren't a dirty assholey team. Maybe you are a jackass.

You forgot Jackman.

The Preds are more enjoyable to watch since the runs went to the Caps and Laviolette took over in Nashville.

The last 8 years or so no. I've liked the games. I don't really know what they did this year. I totally forgot about Jackman but him and Ribiero are in their first year with them right? Neal for sure. I wouldn't call Weber out and out dirty. I know what he did a couple years ago to the detroit player was it zetterberg? was bad but I didn't consider that the norm for him. I also like Rinne a lot.

Never had an issue with them. The no blackhawks in the building thing is dumb as hell. They are basically saying no we don't want your money. Stupid but they can be as stupid as they want.

So the Anaheim Dicks have been eliminated in game 7 at home 4 years in a row. The red faced Bruce " good kid" Boudreau has to be fired now.

Four straight game 7 home eliminations...ouch!

Preds can beat SJ?

I think so since I don't think maybe people thought they had a chance against the Ducks.
Also, do you really trust the Sharks?

Nashvegas's strip of bars along Broadway can be fun; but the locals tend toward chippy-ness as the night wears on. Don't think I've spent a weekend bar-hopping on Broadway without me or someone I was with getting involved in a scuffle inside one of the Broadway bars.

tip: the bars along Broadway are connected to each other in the back. So if you get into some extracurricular horseplay in one of the bars and the gendarmes arrive/or are on the way, you can duck out the back and go next door; thereby avoiding being the out-of-towner who gets flex-cuffed and booked and have to return to nashville in a few months for a hearing.
