Don't be surprised if Duncan Keith wins the fastest skater competition.

Even amongst the other hockey fans on the board, I'm pretty sure I'll be the only one watching this stuff.

I'll be watching. I was thinking the same thing about Keith - the kid is an incredible skater. Now I'm just hoping that he actually enters the fastest skater competition.......not a lot of defensemen usually take part.

Wow - that fastest skater competition was great!

I watched every skater and I don't know who won....the new format sucks!

3-3 with the young stars was fun to watch for the most part, im glad they embedded it in the skills competition. Would have been nice if VS. didnt have replays while they were playing. It seemed they figured it out near the end. Kane is fun to watch.

Kaberle did really well on accuracy, 4-4, almost 8-8.

VS coverage sucked tonight,
mics not working.
graphics wrong or not working
Replays while action is going on
Camera angles that didn't show the actiong (particularly during the relay event. they would show the saucer pass from behind when you couldn't tell if they made it, and with the goalie shoot, they were either on the goalie after they shot or miss the puck going toward the goal).
big Thumbs down.

They had some bad moments, but I believe it was the first time on VS if thats gives them a little slack. Hopefully they can improve for next year. I really thought the commentary was good, Legace and DiPietro were positive. The worst was when Hossa went to shoot for accuracy and they commented "Lets listen to the crowd for this...". Then, silence the whole time. Camera angles were bad during the one on ones.

Here is what I do NOT want to hear tomorrow during the all-star game: "Hello - John Doe, Can you hear me?" Every time they said this tonight.....nothing but silence. And they tried this several times!!! This was the worst production of a sports event that I have seen in a long time....and this has to be "VS." biggest program of the year! The only other thing they have is bullriding!

Young Stars Game: Kane scored at least twice...might have been more, but we missed a lot of the action because of pointless replays....

Z. Chara is an animal.....I thought that maybe one person would exceed 100 mph - but when CHARA let go of that cannon - OMG!!!!!

Yes, its vs. biggest event, but that does not mean it has a giant production budget like an ESPN or a FOX, so technology and camera work suffer a bit. Lets see how it is by next year.

Yeah, but still no one can beat the great mulletted Iafrate.

Vs had it last year too, but no one remembers because the NHL braintrust thought it would make sense to have the all star game during the week. Still, I'm not asking a lot, it just seemed that they didn't have any rehersal for how to show the events. I still enjoyed it.
