Pittsburgh would of scored 7 goals tonight if it wasn't for Gerber standing on his head. Ottawa really sucks on offense. |

Why? Are you one of those Chicago guys that still has a hard-on for J.R.? I like Calgary myself - Phaneuf is a beast. Of course, I would give up just about anything to have Joe Thornton on the Hawks too....should be a great series!! What the hell is wrong w/ the audio on this game? |

Even though the Sharks are mine and a lot of other people's pick to win the Cup, I still would not be surprised if Calgary pulls an upset. If Kiprusoff gets hot, and Calgary's D gets physical as they did last night, it could end up being an interesting series. Phaneuf is one nasty motherfucker. |

Yes, we do indeed have a CuJo sighting. Kiprusoff's D hung him out to dry. |

My god, that guy is still in the league? Kind of reminds me of whichever franchise that was would keep Esa Tikkanen in a hot tub all year, then come out of nowhere in the playoffs and score like a dozen goals.... |

The Sharks vs. Flames game might have been the hardest hitting hockey game I have ever seen. How Marleau got up from two brutal hits is beyond me. The guy was a bloody mess all game. Sharks were up 3 nothing in the first 3 minutes and the Fames just started hitting everything that moved and changed the game after the second hit on Marleau and chipped away at the lead and won with about 3 minutes to go in the third.. I picked the Sharks to get to the finals and Calgary might beat them. Detroit will be knocked around by Nashville tonight and should be interesting to see how they play tonight. The Dallas Stars might be a big surprise as any team this year as they are beating the Ducks at their own game. Solid goaltending and taking the body and puck movement in the neutral zone and cycling the puck in the Ducks zone.I think last years run is taking a toll on the Ducks. Pittsburgh looks pretty strong in the East and Crosby is just a beast in the last two games. |

Nice to see Nashville show up to take a 4-3 lead in game three. It's a shame that Arnott appeared to get injured in the celebration. |

Yes, but I think Detroits going to still win the series, unfortunately. Agreed, the Flames/Sharks game was great last night, especially considering how calgary stayed tough after they left kiprusoff out to dry. Im loving that series. Now, let's go minnesota! |

On paper the Wings are the best team top to bottom but this group is underachieving once again and Nashville has no business being tied in this series but they seem to be better coached and more up for the series than the Wings. I think the Hawks have more talent than Nashville and I don't see where the Preds are beating the Wings. Detroit seems flat and uninspired at all positions. Sit Hasek and start Osgood and if the Preds steal game 5 in Detroit it's all over and expect Wings coach Mike Babcock to be fired.Three consective 100 point seasons and 2 first round playoff exits should be enough to fire him. The West is up for grabs and each team is beating the shit out of each other as the East seems to be playing wide open finesse type of hockey which leads me to believe that the team coming out of the East will win the Cup . Pittsburgh looks unbeatable or the Sens were just that bad but Crosby is on a mission and that group is gelling. |

Baseball is my favorite sport. The National Hockey League Playoffs, however, are the most glorious and beautiful playoffs of any sport. I hereby hail and salute, by screen names, the seven (7) other people who care about same: Mr. Slapshot Ed (Captain of the sinking S.S. Red Wing), Mr. Stinkfinger the Crow, Mr. W_Z (one has to appreciate Flyer love), Mr. Crystal Lake Hoffy, Professor Psycory (Penguin fan?), Mr. Apologist and Mr. Spanky. Cheers, mates! Apropos of nothing, The New York Rangers appear unbeatable. Lord Stanley's Cup is coming home to Manhattan! |

Brandon Dubinsky is a going to be a very solid player for a long time in the NHL, and Sean Avery is a raging asswipe built for playoff hockey, but the Rangers don't boast a defensive corps to be able to shut down the Pens or Habs. King Henrik can't do it on his own. |

The beloved New York Rangers got royally screwed tonight. That call on Straka was absolute garbage. |

True as that may be, just remember that your beloved Rangers are not nearly as beloved by the NHL as Crosby and the Penguins are. So don't expect many border line calls to go your way. |

God forbid you'd blame piss-poor back checking which allowed the Sykora goal that gave the Penguins their first lead, or leaving Pascal f'n Dupuis alone TWICE in prime scoring area because they were so mesmerized by Crosby working below the goal line. The Rangers are fortunate that he only cashed in one of those opportunities. |

The Rangers are fortunate that he only cashed in one of those opportunities. In no way am I leaving the beloved Rangers blameless for this epic collapse. My main complaint is the timing of an extremely marginal call. Why, no more than 30 seconds before the Straka so called "penalty," there was a far more blatant interference penalty committed against the Rangers in the offensive zone that was ignored by these scandalous referees. I always thought that, in order to be whistled, an infraction in the last 4 minutes of the 3rd period of a tied playoff game had to be particularly egregious. In my opinion, Straka's so called "infraction" was ticky-tack, given the timing of same. |
