Im excited to see what Tallon can pull off today. With reports that Brian Campbell is being offered over $8 mil for five years, I would hate to see the Hawks go for him and end up in another Khabi contract that they cant move.

I do not want them to over spend on any one player, especially when they are going to have to pay Toews and Kane in the coming years. The price that J-M Liles went for would have been ideal. I'd still like to see if Dale can either swing a trade for Francois Beachemin given the Ducks' cap constraints, or poach Jay Bouwmeester out of the RFA market from Florida. I'm not entirely sold on Campbell; he's cut from the same mold as Duncan Keith, with more offensive upside, but more of a liability in his own end, and that does not equate to the $7-8 million he's allegedly commanding. Same goes for perennial playoff under-achiever Wade Redden, however Redden has more size and sandpaper to his game.

Brian Rolston would also be a fantastic pickup, again if they can get him for about $4 mildo.

It will be interesting to see how the dominoes of Campbell, Redden, Hossa, and Sundin fall.

Should be very interesting.

Rolston and Hossa would both look great in the Hawks jersey next year.

I'm not worried about their corps of forwards. It's the goaltending and defense that I'm less confident in.

I agree but I think Hossa would fit in nicely with Kane and Toews

The rich get richer. Hossa signed with the Wings.

So is this a good move for the Hawks? if any of you are score listeners, call up B & B and try to have an intelligent hockey conversation...it'll be the best radio in a long time....

I've actually talked hockey with Abbattacola on air before, and despite all of his bluster about hating hockey, Bernstein actually knows the game itself well, if not the players.
