The story was first reported by Josh Mora of Comcast Sportsnet Chicago and TFP Columnist. Roenick, 39, has played in 1,363 career NHL regular-season games with the Chicago Blackhawks, Phoenix Coyotes, Philadelphia Flyers and San Jose Sharks, and has accumulated 513 goals and 703 assists for 1,216 points to go along with 1,463 penalty minutes. Arguably one of the most vocal players in the history of the sport, Roenick scored 50 goals twice and tallied over 100 points three-years in-a-row while with the Blackhawks in the early 90s, helping the team reach the Stanley Cup Finals in 1992. Roenick was originally drafted eighth-overall by the Blackhawks in the 1988 NHL Entry Draft. Details to follow... |
