Post subject:  This year's playoffs

For this year's NHL playoffs, I think the big question is do some teams who have the teams the past couple of years do it this year.

1. Washington Capitals- 2nd straight year number 1 seed, Ovechkin 1-3 in playoff series, all home ice and game 7. Do they make it to the Finals. Probably doesn't help playing the Rangers in the 1st round and lost the season series 3-1.

2. The San Jose Sharks- Usually a 1 seed and struggling to win the first series, this year a 2 seed, got Niemmi as goalie, and could see the Red Wings in the 2nd round, that won't be easy.

3. Vancouver Canucks- The 1 seed and get to play the team that has knocked them out the last 2 years, do the Blackhawks play like their in Luongo's head like the past couple of years or do the Canucks move on with a win. To think the Canucks haven't beaten the Hawks in Vancouver in the playoffs since Game 1 in 2009.

He capitalized "Buffalo Rolls" like they are the name of the team or something. Maybe roller hockey?

Well we can see tonight, since Sabres-Flyers starts tonight, I do like the Sabres in this one.

On Last night, if the Rangers could have held on for a big game 1 win. I think the Hawks need to win the next game to have a chance. The only home team to lose was the Ducks, as Carrie Underwood's husband Mike Fishers scores 2 goals.

Never understood why Chara has a "clean" reputation with so many people.

Guy is a total douchebag.

Kings suck.

Some plodding hockey tonight. Boston and Montreal appeared to be skating in quicksand, relative to the pace of the Hawks-Nucks, Wings-Yotes games last night.

This just might not be the Eastern Conference's year...unless Crosby returns.

Dont worry, Crosby will return.

In 2012.

Red Wings without their leading scorer Zetterberg making it look easy vs Phoenix. Coyotes should take a run at Pavel Datsyuk if they don't want to get swept.

Franzen from the Wings might want to consider some sort of visor or face guard, whoops, Detroit's coach just suggested to Franzen that he wear one and Franzen shook his head no. Dude's face looks like Lake Street in the Spring.

Thank God the Sharks took off game 2, now big mo is back with the good guys... The Thornton line looks very average yet again in the playoffs, and Doughty is steppng up big time... This series is ovah!

Detroit up 5-3 on Phx late in the 3rd. Looks like they are gonna be the only team to sweep their first round series.
Blackhawks extending Vancouver helps out the Red Wings, should the WCF end up Nucks-Wings.

The Rangers were 20 minutes from putting the Capitals under intense pressure, instead the Capitals should win this in 5.

The Penguins haven't closed out a series at home since the Eastern Conference Finals of 08 against the Flyers, so that series may go longer, hope not though.

Capitals through to the next round. Doc Emrick calling for Obama to finally attend an NHL game next round.

Post subject:  Re: This year's playoffs

Ovechkin finally wins a series where it doesn't go 7, I think when the Rangers look back, they will be kicking themselves when almost got Game 1 and should have got Game 4, but didn't and that's why the Caps are moving on.

Like I put earlier, Pittsburgh doesn't like to close out series at home and on Tampa Bay, I wonder if they will play like the last 2 first round matchups in Game 6, be down 3-0 to start.

Tonight's Boston-Montreal may be the best game of the playoffs so far.
