Wow, sad to hear. One of the greatest defensemen I have ever seen. Never forgot the few times he scored on the Hawks with five seconds left in a game to tie it and go to OT. |

Happy he's retiring, but you'd be hard pressed to find someone with a bad thing to say about him. The league needs more guys like him. |

The last of the old guard: Shanahan, Yzerman, Fedorov, and now Lidstrom... The more I think about this the sadder it is, it was a great era... |
