As is tradition in SCF play, first power play to the road team.

Rangers get to show Blackhawks how to really suck on the man advantage. Image

NY Rangers #67, Benoit Pouliot, opens the scoring on a one-on-goalie break-away off an assist from Kings #8, Drew Doughty. Wake up, Drew, you're playing in the Finals now. #schadenfreude

Short-handed #62 Carl Hagelin out-raced Kings #26 Voynov, shot off Quick's right pad, deflected off Voynov skate into goal...2-0 Rangers. #DontStopNow

Kings are sleep-skating through this 1st period.

Kings potent power-play recovers from the Rangers shorty and converts on the same PP, #13 Kyle Clifford assisted by #77 Jeff Carter. 2-1 Rangers.

2-1 NYR at the end of the 1st. Sutter and Quick no doubt giving the rest of the Kings hell in the locker-room between periods. Kings lollygagging gave NYR 2 one-on-goalie break-aways, aided by Voynov's auto-goal.

Kings likely going to win this game/series, but they might want to wakey-wakey.

:D you might be right tonight, but i think they'll be in by game 3.

Doughty makes up for his earlier brain-fart, ties it up at 2-2.

Patience and poise, in a situation where most guys would've fired into the goalie's chest asap.

This hurts to watch.

Go Kings, I can't bring myself to cheer for New York in anything.

Doughty will be a Norris finalist next year due to his play this postseason, regardless of how next season goes as is the way for NHL awards.

New job a few months ago which severely frowns upon/fire on the spot, people who are caught surfing on the clock. Didn't know what type of environment it was too late. It's a pretty shockingly oppressive place to work for.

Thankfully, starting a new job on the 16th which should allow me more time to surf as it's more of a sales focus.

Seems like just a matter of time at this point.
14-1 shots in favor of LA in 3rd period.

The Hawks was robbed.

The Kings haven't had enough loved ones die lately to root for them. And to shut the NBC people up and their obvious Kings bias, it makes me sick.

Wow. What a sequence, end-to-end at the end of regulation there...

Wow, another one-on-goalie break-away for the Rangers and this time Quick makes the save.

Crazy last few seconds.

This is why there is nothing like playoff hockey.

This is pretty cool - the NYR fans are watching the game on big screens right downtown. Wish the Hawks could do this at Millenium park or Northerly Island, etc....

Looked like the Blackhawks not being able to clear the puck.

Bad turnover

Justin 'Clutch' Williams with another OT winner. Rangers got a lot of luck and played a competitive game 1. Losing after all those Kings mistakes and their own effort....Kings in 5.

Kings win in 2nd OT on a Dustin Brown redirect/tip-in.
