played the final with my heart - disagreed with the praise lavished upon southgate, especially by donovan. even at 1-1, england were praying for penalties - passing the ball backwards and sideways, when the break was on. southgate installed some type of fear and inhibition in his players. england didn't deserve the final, let alone win it. i'd get rid of southgate in a heartbeat. he didn't learn his lesson against the italians.

I think they had what, two viable chance all game and they converted on one of them? Even in extra time they were playing the ball backwards.
