too bad for georgia...not too surprised they scored. done in by 2 fantastic turkish individual goals. the 2nd turkish goal, georgia had possession and naively gave the ball right back for the goal. 1st goal was a screaming volley from a headed georgian clearance.

going to press my luck on another over, playing the over in portugal/czech. 2.5/-130. playing the over for $100, bankroll at +$135.

an insipid portugal, inspired by their subs, steals one late. prima-donnas walking on the pitch. hargreaves telling us that he believes portugal to be the best team at the tournie. sure they are.

kudos to cr7. i thought he played fairly well at age 39. the czechs didn't want to venture into portugal's half, scored a nice excuse-me goal that woke up roberto martinez.

bankroll at +$235.

don't vote for that 'extreme' party, but vote for extremist green, or communist or anti-charlie hebdo/pro immigrant parties.

disappointing message.

Shut up and dribble.

Il y a un poisson dans votre bibliothèque.

Show me a French footballer against immigration and you’ll show me a French football player that doesn’t want their national team to win anything.

legal or illegal immigration? zidane, benzema, nasri...etc...the sons of legal immigrants, french nationals. mbappe, the same.

brigette bardot's famous line: 'I didn’t fight against French Algeria to accept an Algerian France'.

the issue in france is legal x illegal. le pen's party wants tighter reins on illegal immigration and to cut legal immigration. when poc footballers on the french NT tell french voters not to vote for the 'extreme' party of le pen, but ignore the extremes of the communists/greens...it plays right into the narrative of tribalistic/sectarian voting patterns that le pen and farage talk about that galvanize voters.

these footballers have benefitted from french coaching and france's football infrastructure. it's national academy, lafontaine, is world-renown.

end of an era for croatia and modric. pulled themselves out of the grave, only to fall back in at the end. this group won't have a 3rd place team advance. i didn't play this match - because when the albanian supporters wear their white ottoman caps and the croatia supporters wear their croatia waterpolo swim caps, it's a wash. you always expect the albanians to embarrass themselves at this level and they rarely never do. they really play for their flag. they may have against a 2022 or 2020 croatia, not this weak version of croatia.

bankroll at +$235.

going to take a chance and play another over in germany x hungary. $100 on the over (2.5, -180). may squeak this out or 2-0 germany after 50 minutes and germany closes up shoppe and finishes 2-0.

play with fire, you get burned. germany, not very interested today and well, hungary. they had a chance or two. when it was 0-0, they had an opportunity to open up the germans, player on the ball decided to put his head down and pass the ball backwards. no intent, prayed for the 0-0 and hopefully, scotland deservedly erases them from the tournament in their next match.

not playing the swiss x scots, hoping for an open match. hopefully, scotland gets at least a point today - will buoy them in their last match with hungary.

the wheels are very wobbly for scotland. the right wing-back has been singled out for poor play by fletcher - i suppose deservedly so, but the 3 scots CBs are terrible on the ball and i look for the swiss to punish them again after a poor back-pass/panicky pass/poor ball control. the fox crew fighting for a goal for mctominay. the goal was a definite own-goal, sommer had that shot going into his gut and schar kicked it in on his attempted block.

want to see scotland do well, just no quality. not sure if they can stand another 45 minutes. i hope they can, eventually the swiss will get desperate and open up if it's still 1-1 midway through the 2nd half. the scots need that space offensively, they can't create it organically.

they actually should've won this match. i think they outplayed the swiss but steve clark has some of the weirdest tactics that cost them. i guess he's gambling but he really doesn't seem to know his squad sometimes.

i'm sure you'd get a lecture from shaqiri if you told him he was born in serbia. on that note, i saw some bad blood between slovenia x serbia, hopefully the fans can disperse without violence. the players were much more professional after the match.

going to play england at -145. can't trust southgate with the over, would have played the over if this was match #1 for england. bankroll at +55. england to win for $100.

i thought i saw a bad switzerland. a swiss team that gifted scotland it's goal, were gifted their goal by scotland and were 1/2 second late/off on their 2 offside goals. embolo is nowhere near the player he was, looks like he needs more time. no one would ever question scotland's determination.

southgate getting hammered by england fans, english and euro media. again, england score 1st and decide not to attempt to score again. tempo hideously slow, no one running into space, pressing is not coordinated...rice getting criticized for only passing sideways and backwards...etc.

southgate telling us that he is ignoring all football media until the end of the tournament.

going to play $100 on the over portugal x turkey. the over is 2.5/-120. bankroll has evaporated, at -$95.

also, heard fox analyst carli lloyd talk about the end of messi and and who will be the next great player? she mentioned bellingham and pulisic. after that, i will purposely avoid listening to her.

austria comes through, bankroll at +$105. good theatre, each nation had something to play for.

netherlands x france. these nations played each other twice in qualifying - hoping the dutch learned a thing or two. no mbappe. going to play the draw for $50, at +220.

without mbappe starting, france looked shaky. right now germany and spain look like they could go deep. austria winning big today was a surprise.

this'll be the last of southgate for england, for sure.

i just don't get it. you would've thought that southgate learned this lesson against italy. i have no doubt that he told both alexander-arnold and rice not to venture forward. you need more runners from the central mid into the box, it's traditional english football - regardless of a 4-4-2 or a 4-3-3. late runs into the box - always killers. a 4-3-3 that has been turned into the diabolical 4-2-3-1. this guy is terrified of losing a match 2-3 against the serbias and denmarks of the world.

bankroll at +$215, portugal x turkey. going to play both teams to score (-130) for $50 and the over (2.5, -140) for $50. will also play $50 on portugal to win (-160).

man, that fox american team is terrible. rob stone, cementing the fact that he has no fucking clue about the sport he hosts. i thought chiellini wanted to lean over and slap stone's face when stone said: "turkey may be the future of european soccer". what a fucking ass-clown statement. chiellini corrected him immediately. stone getting into the ambiance of all the german turks who don't wish to assimilate and cheer on ataturk's republic.

no goalkeeping. new #1 today. their GK made a huge mistake on georgia's goal in turkey's 3-1 victory. at 2-1 turkey, georgia (arguable the weakest team at the euro) hit the woodwork twice, before turkey's breakaway 3-1 goal at the end of the match. what part of that match told stone that turkey is on the cusp of being the future of european football?

no defense. their defenders suck, go to ground all the time. their defense frequently loses their shape. quick 1-2s/wall passes sees their lines crumble.

everyone in europe knows this. if stone had done 20 minutes of reading neutral opinions about turkey, he wouldn't have made that dumb comment.

anyways, keep going portugal. turkey is ripe to concede 4-5 goals today. turkey, the future of euro football.

too bad, this turkish player is a wonderkid, that turkish kid is brilliant...zero goals against old man pepe. got 2 out of 3.

bankroll at +$250.

not the biggest fan of belgium, but will play them to win today. $100 on belgium (-$200). lukaku looks like he's ready to start scoring again.

belgium looking strong early. put a few bucks on de bruyne to score a goal. almost clicked on the actual goalscorer, that would've been a nice hit.
