Are any of these playoffs available on tv or are they only on espn3?

Some irish bars usually have the games on a big screen.

Wow, that's all I can say.

0-4 Guaranteeing a sopt in the Euro finals. I have seen Ireland teams in the past get up a man, and even a goal up on the road and play like a tortoise. Best display of Irish futbol I have seen since the World Cup win over Italy.

Unusual for the Irish. Typically they will choke in these playoffs. 4 away goals so it's in the bag.

Ireland, Portugal, Croatia, and Czech Republic are your playoff winners.

GROUP A (group of life)
Poland
Greece
Russia
Czech

GROUP B (group of death)
Netherlands
Denmark
Germany
Portugal

GROUP C (group of 2)
Spain
Italy
Ireland
Croatia

GROUP D (group of who the hell knows)
Ukraine
Sweden
France
England

man, that Group of Death has to be as ridiculous a group as has ever been assembled in a Euro competition. On the flipside, that Group A is about as pathetic as it gets.

It came down to one ping pong ball, but unfortunately we won't get to see England vs Ireland. Instead we will get to see England get pantsed by France as a consolation prize. No Wayne Rooney for the group stage means its anyone's ballgame in that group.

Group C is really just a competition to see who will get the number 1 seed coming out, Spain or Italy.

Schedule of games as well here. Tough break to see Oranje get put into that group... :(

Zizou,

You are just trying to make me feel warm and fuzzy. But, I would like to see a repeat of the Meadowlands and Italy.

Drinking wouldn't cause you to be that insane. Sniffing glue while also injecting air conditioning coolant into your veinis would be more appropriate for such a prediction.

Bump.

Less than a month away from the opening match.

Who do you all think will have a chance to win?

Spain and Germany are the obvious favorites. I like Holland to win. They'll have Van Persie up front, who is in great form, Sneijder in the midfield, Robben flying up the wing and De Jong and Van Bommel playing ahead of the back 4 fouling the shit out of everyone and breaking up play.

Now, the question is who will be this Euro's Arshavin? You know, the guy who plays out of his mind for this one tournament and then some club overpays for his services in the transfer window when the tournament is over.

I waited as long as I could, especially the way the injuries have piled up, but I am ready to give my considered opinion.

The song that will be playing during the trophy presentation is:

Deutschlandlied

I think Spain does not make it out of group play.

Shit,

If the Polish and Ukranian fans are going to act like the moronic racists in Krakow during the Dutch practice today, I hope both home sides lose every freaking game.

Here is a link for those who have not heard about it yet:

eastern europeans are very racist. this happens quite often to african descent players or darker skinned players...the polish ex was pretty racist ("they're not pure") and i knew a swedish kid growing up who was pretty racist, along with his brother, and thought it was perfectly fine to call black people the en eye double g eye aruh.

of course not all are like that but...it seems pretty rampant.

It's a disgrace but UEFA knew about it when they awarded the competition to the two countries. They just don't fucking care and you got Platini, the head of UEFA, saying they will give automatic yellow cards to players who leave the pitch in protest of racist chants. The bigger joke is that Russia got the World Cup for 2018. They're even more racist, if that is quantifiable, and that's your showcase event for the sport.

Now, on to the first match. I liked Poland as a bit of a dark horse in this tourney, as they have a few nice young players in Lewandowski, Szczesny, and the Dortmund captain Blaszczykowski. That ref is a moron for that red card he gave to Greece. Neither of the fouls that were yellows were worthy of a card. But credit to Greece as they have equalized since going down to 10 men. Considering how bad they looked in the first half, a draw would be a great result against the host nation.

Poland really blew a great opportunity there. Up 1-0 and a man and they end up with a draw? Pathetic.

Great showing by Russia, damn was that impressive.

Glad the practice games are out of the way and we can get down to the real tournament games starting tomorrow.

I always enjoy watching the Dutch play, however I have a soft spot for the happiest country on earth* in Denmark.

*research shows that Denmark is the happiest place on earth mainly due to the country's low expectations in life.

Balotelli falls down like a sack of potatoes from contact when he easily could have attempted a shot on goal. Then, gets subbed off for DiNatale who gives Italy the lead. Cue Mario sulking on the sidelines.

Michael Ballack is looking very, very raw as a television analyst.
