It’s a nice stadium that no one in the city or the suburbs wants to go to. Hope they build a stadium at the old Michael Reese place, but they won’t.

I don't think anyone would really want to go to a stadium there either.

$260MM for a small open air stadium on cheap land? What else is tied into that number? Especially since I vaguely recall it originally being a $75mm project covered by ridiculous property taxes they've been collecting for years.

I think Jerry helped with the initial deal.

I think everyone in Bridgeport has a $250,000 (or some such) price tag on their heads. How do you develop the community that way? Or sell your house? Just a shame.

Spiral, you live in Oak Lawn?

My mom lives in Bridgeview.. ya the property taxes are insane especially considering how shitty the schools are.

People think the stadium is far, but technically it's just a mile or so outside of the city limits that stretch to 65th and Harlem.

I was just driving around there last Sunday and they are building a new hotel, too. I have to believe the hotel had no idea that they were going to leave. Or maybe the hotel is trying to cash in on the proximity to Midway.

Sadly, this doesn't surprise me. I went to a game once.....it was a fine stadium. I'm not a soccer guy, but enjoyed the game.

The stadium is the only reason to go there.....that's not gonna cut it.
