France will be the host of the 2016 edition of the UEFA European Championsips. The tournament will also be expanded from 16 teams to 24. The winners and runner-ups of the six four-team groups along with the four best third place tams will advance to the quarter finals.

The Euro 2016 winner will earn a spot in the 2017 Confederarions Cup in Brazil.
