Even though the new MLS team New York FC will play its first season at Yankee Stadium, I've gotta think they'll get a soccer-only stadium of their own. Might they also share a stadium, kinda like the L.A. Galaxy & Chivas USA share the Home Depot Center in Carson, CA? Just a couple of thoughts...

But after getting my fill of watching Premiership matches on cable, it's like going from watching the Blackhawks to the Wolves. Just not good.

Toyota Park is a nice place, though.

I think one of the reasons they picked a 2nd NY team is how disappointing NY Red Bulls are both competitively and financially. You have to do better as the biggest city in the US. The 2nd NY team may cripple Red Bulls if NYFC get a stadium in NY as opposed the one in New Jersey Red Bull is stuck in.

I just can't watch the MLS. I've grown to love the Premiership but I just can't watch MLS and their crappy stadiums and non hd games.

Really needed to water the league down more. I know the country was clamoring for a 2nd team in NYC. The logic is so solid. The league is awful from a quality standpoint. Need to get more aging European league stars here and they should be spread out to other franchises besides Red Bull and LA Galaxies.

A "real" soccer fan cares about their national team, their domestic league, and cheers for the closest professional team to the where they were born, no matter if it's a shit US 3rd division team or fucking Barcelona. "Real" soccer fans aren't Europoseur plastics. There aren't enough real or fake soccer fans in this country to be dismissive of the top division league in the country. It's a shit league, but it's our shit league. Be sure to come out to cheer for the big summer friendlies where top Euro teams send out their B teams to idiotic bandwagon fans who eat it up and act all smug because they truly understand "the beautiful game."

A friend of mine has season tickets, so we usually go to a 1 or 2 games a season. He also gets passes to exhibition matches for international teams that travel there. The level of play I've seen in those games is not even close to MLS. The game is so much more quicker and exciting.
