So says Commissioner Don Garber....Seems like Orlando is a lock. Miami could be as well. Golden Balls Beckham is part of the Miami group. NYFC (The team owned by Manchester City and the Yankees) starts in 2015.

Big mistake. They have too many teams now.

Meh, as long as the teams have a stadium they'll be fine. It's not like people are going to suddenly think, damn the product on the field is just too watered down now, I give up. Would be nice to get some teams with a real fanbase like Richmond or Charleston, but they'd be better off in the USL or whatever 2nd tier league they're in.

It's okay to miss Dallas since they changed names. MLS got their Eurosnob on a while back and fucked with our home grown stupid names and made them fake European names. Like the Dallas Burn became FC Dallas and The Kansas City Wiz became Sporting KC.

I'm wondering if MLS should stabilize the teams they have now before going crazy and add teams. There is talk Civas might move to San Diego. They already failed once in Miami.

i think the MLS is a mess and could implode easily. it doesn't matter how many teams, or as kd pointed out, how many ways you try to copy euro traditions in naming the teams. if the product that's on the field isn't exciting (which it isn't) then it won't grow.

bringing aging superstars from other countries to promote a team only works so much, and i think that act is tired. beckham came closest to saving this league but there isn't much american talent keeping anybody's interest.

Very few members of the US National team play in the MLS. That will never change, but it is a huge problem for the growth of the MLS.

This is pretty much all wrong.

6 of the likely 11 starters next year in the Brazil World Cup play in MLS.

We can shun them since XBox is their shirt sponsor.

There may be 4. And that is only because Dempsey just went to Seattle.
