A year and a half ago while doing a semi-pro football game in Milwaukee one of the players went to his car to allegedly get a weapon. The opposing teams coach called a time-out to ask us as officials what we were going to do if said player pulled the weapon...our answer was, "We're going to run..." |

Happens in the good ol USandA too: http://www.mlive.com/news/detroit/index ... yer_w.html Quote: He got his red card and a sentence of eight to 15 years for manslaughter. A Michigan man who fatally punched a soccer referee before he could be ejected from an adult-league game was sentenced Friday after the referee's widow boldly addressed her husband's killer and served him a penalty card. The powerful gesture made by John Bieniewicz's widow was captured on camera but cowardly missed by his convicted killer, Bassel Abdul-Amir Saad, 36, who instead stood with his back to her and wept. Kris Bieniewicz, who was left to raise two young boys on her own, meanwhile ripped his lenient sentencing for what she said should have been a murder conviction for the savage June attack. http://www.nydailynews.com/news/nationa ... -1.2148775 |
