Corey patterson, who had a great year with the orioles last year, has signed with Blue Jays on a minor-league contract...after experiencing the hardships of Americana the last few years, I think it will be a breath of fresh air for him to be in a benign environment like that in Canada.

Eric Patterson, who played OK for Boston last year, was traded to the Padres as part of the Adrian Gonzalez trade...so we should all look forward to the rematch with him this year when we play the Padres
