Now if only the NFL makes them do something about the turf.

Lee Dewyze is from this area, Mount Prospect I do believe, and won the most recent "American Idol". Make no mistake about it. FOX is going to pull out all the stops, and having Lee sing the National Anthem is just the tip of the iceberg Sunday prior to kickoff of the Bears/Packers' NFC Championship game. I wouldn't be shocked if the NFC Championship game turns into "Entertainment Tonight" regarding big time celebrities in the house at Soldier Field. Jay Cutler's girlfriend, former reality star Kristin Cavallari, E!'s Giuliana and Chicago's own Bill Rancic, Vince Vaughn, Jennifer Hudson and Chicago's own Jennifer Beals, star of the upcoming FOX cop show "The Chicago Code", are among the celebrities I think could be in attendance to watch Sunday's game.

As for the Anthem, it was really cool seeing Jim Cornelison, complete with the hand gesture, pumping up the crowd before kickoff of yesterday's Seahawks/Bears' game. I kinda wish Jim, let alone Wayne Messmer, were commissioned to sing the Anthem prior to Sunday's NFC title game. I actually met Wayne before a 49ers/Bears' game on "Sunday Night Football" many years ago and he can still belt out the Anthem as well as Cornelison.

No, he cannot. Not even close.

The injury stats actually supported the field pretty well before this week's round of neck-snappin'.

The field itself didn't have anything to do with the 2 guys getting carted off. Carlson's was his own damn fault because he tried to jump over Manning and failed.

Ya, I am talking about the thing looking like a field where cattle graze with a teal spray painted endzone. The NFL said today that they were looking into it, but alot of times when teams re-sod it end up being just as bad. Look at the national championship for instance where the did the re-sod in a perfect climate.

It's a shame Jim Belushi doesn't have a show on Fox.

He better not be one of those celebrities that FOX is pulling out all the stops Sunday. Besides, I haven't seen one minute of Jim's current show on CBS, "The Defenders", nor do I plan on watching...

They can trade off verses. Just do the full version, the one we sing at the Freemason meetings.

Cornelison is to sing the anthem. NFL is pulling the card.
Lee Dewyze will perform at halftime.
