I doubt it.

If it was a mult or a troll, they wouldn't just vanish like that. If he got bored, he would probably at least check in from time to time. He hasn't even logged on in nearly a year. I've always wanted to stand outside 222 N. LaSalle and ask everyone coming and going if they are DegenerateDave.

We have posters who disappear unexplained for a year and then come out of hiding, and we've also had posters who create a mult as if they are a real person. So it is definitely not out of the question.
