watch em explode

Bulls are -3 1/2 without Boozer and Noah and Dallas has Dirk back, but they played last night in Dallas. Hmm.

What happened to Kenny Smith? McHale = Matt Millen of NBA GM's.

D Rose hits a 3 at the end of the 2nd quarter to make it 44-35 BULLS.

Bulls are so much better defensively without Boozer.

Mavs start the 2nd half with a 12-4 run, 48-47 Bulls, 7 minutes or so left in the 3rd. Rose is 2 for 2 on 3's so far. Bulls 5-9 from 3's overall. Dirk looks like he came back way too soon. He can hardly run.

Refs not giving the Bulls the home court calls, Thomas and Taj both have 4 ea already. Mavs 53-50 with D Rose on the line shooting 2. He made both, 53-52 Mavs. Tyson Chandler hits a shot, 55-52 Mavs. 5 minutes to go in 3rd.

Reggie Miller going all Madden-Favre on D Rose, especially after Rose had a drive past 2 defenders that'll make the highlight reel despite resulting in no points.

Miller just called D Rose "the quiet, baby face assassin", too isiah a nickname.

60-56 after 3 quarters.

thanks man! this beats the hell out of game trackers

sounds like another typical bulls 'there aint no such thing as a 3rd quarter' game

and im pretty much just as high on rose too. hes going to be the new kobe, but better.

Another highlight reel drive (with a finish) by D Rose to make it 66-66. Rose has been shooting poorly from the field tho, 7-20--which I think is what he shot the other day for his triple-double.
With 6 assists and 6 rebounds, he has an outside shot at a triple double, maybe if it goes to OT.

Rose picks up assists 7 and 8 on back to back 3's by CJ Watson, 72-70 Bulls, 5:45 to go.

Coming out of the commercial break, Miller compared Rose driving around Jason Kidd to Julius Peppers rushing the passer. 74-70 Chicago, 5 mins to go.

Kurt Thomas is ruining Tyson Chandler's night. Thomas hits a jumper to make it 78-73 Bulls, 3:20 to go, Dirk at the line shooting 2, he makes both, 78-75 Bulls. Timeout, just under 3 mins left.

78-77 Bulls, 1 minute to go, Bulls ball. Rose hits a desperation 2 to make it 80-77 Bulls.

Jason Terry bricked a 3 attempt, Rose tracked down the long rebound (7) and threw it to Brewer who got fouled, 80-77 chicago, 9.2 to play, Brewer at the line shooting 2. Whoops, no free throws yet. Bulls inbounding. Mavs took a page out of Coach Thib's book and put 2 seven footers to guard the inbound. Bulls can't inbound, call a timeout. Still 80-77 Bulls, 9.2 to go, Bulls to try to inbound again.

Bulls get it in to Korver, he's at the line shooting 2, makes em both, 82-77 Bulls. 5.5 to go.

Mavs inbound out of TO, Jason Terry bricks another 3, Bulls win + cover, 82-77. Rose finishes with 26 / 9 / 7.

Real nice win tonight over a quality opponent. Nice to sweep the season series with the Mavs.

Nice win. Another great game by Rose. If they only had a 2 guard who could score...

Actually, Derrick Rose ended up on #basketball's failboat, shooting 9-28 for the game. Much like Michael Jordan before him, Derrick is reaching a point where even his off-games end up being something like 26/9, which really speaks to the growth we've seen from our third year superstar/-in-the-making this season.

Incidentally, LOL DENG was the captain of the failboat tonight! I need to get down with mspaint/photoshop and commemorate LOL's all too frequent commanding position on the S.S. Marcus Fizer... soon, my friends, soon.

PROOF = Tonight's failboat >>> Field Goals: Luol Deng 3-13, Derrick Rose 9-28, Jose Barea 0-4, Marreese Speights 0-4, Stephen Jackson 5-16 |Turnovers: Jason Kidd 6

That said, the Bulls need to do something to get some more legitimate scoring on this team. I'm sorry, but it says something when your #3 guy on the team (and #2 in the frequent cases of Boozer's injuries) is a $12mil/year albatross that nobody else in the league wants. Did you guys hear that the Raptors bought out Peja Stojakovic, thus allowing Dallas to sign him? Even though Peja has been steadily declining, I would have definitely looked into kicking the tires on a guy who even in limited minutes during an off season has managed to shoot 48.4% on 3pts. If the mentality was that you're replacing Keith Bogans' ~14 minutes per game with Peja, just imagine all of those open threes Keith misses early on in games... yeah.

But if Deng was taking as many shots as Melo, he would be putting up 50 PPG.

I'm all for taking a look at Peja. He couldn't hurt at this point, and he would definitely come very cheap. I think the Bulls have a little left in cap space (3 mil?), which is higher than the minimum offer he would get somewhere else. But from what I read, he is probably headed to Dallas or the Lakers.

I just read that Peja to the Mavs is all but official. He just has to clear waivers (which is 99.99% likely). No one would pick up that HUGE contract.

Even Kurt Thomas thinks that Peja's vertical is sorry at this point. He could probably still shoot a bit but don't you have a younger/better version of that in Korver?
