The Chicago Bears signed Canadian Football League veteran wide receiver Andy Fantuz to a reserve/future contract, the team announced Friday.

Fantuz spent five seasons with the Saskatchewan Roughriders and led the CFL with 1,380 receiving yards last season. The 6-4, 220-pound receiver has scored 23 touchdowns during his career.

The Bears finally have their game-breaking big WR.

Except for the fact that he's white and slow.

Any Saskatchewan Roughrider fans with scouting reports would be appreciated.

Before the season started,I was hoping they drafted a big WR.Low round pick would be slow but At least on a quick slant or jumpball 5 yards in the EZ,he would make a good target

They already have a tall white slow receiver: Greg Olsen.

That NFC CS game, that fucker disappeared. I don't know if anybody mentioned that. I'm still sick about that game. I'm sure a lot of guys on here feel the same way. That is what is wrong when you hear Cutler at a dinner party 6 hours later or cruising the shops in the OC. I never thought much about Cutler's personality but he has proven himself a douchebag. Did he take this loss as hard as a fan? Does not seem that way. I guess you can say that about a lot of athletes. They are rich,it's just a job to most,I bet.

Jerry & Lovie sure do have a knack for finding diamonds in the rough that no one else knows about.

Why is this even a story? Who gives a flying fuck about a CFL guy?

I posted it with a hint of sarcasm. You never know, though. Doug Flutie,Jeff Garcia came via the CFL. Flutie though started in the NFL. I think James Scott from the Bears was a WR refugee from the CFL besides the USFL Blitz.

hey, who knows? 6-4"/220lb isn't that far away from g-reg olsen's 6'5/255lb getup. while g-reg actually had a couple of decent mini-badoushes this year in the blocking game, short of that one memorable seam route in the seahawks game did he really have an OMFG WHOAAAAA moment this year?

Maybe this guy ends up being the equivalent of Mike Haas eating a Super Mushroom, which would mark the triumphant return of white football to the Chicago sports landscape!

I'm officially all-in like the 2011 White Sox.
