How is it bush league to hire someone from another organization with a decent track record?

For the last decadeish the Cubs have gone the big name route to some success but ultimate disappointment. The last 3 managers were the hot commodities, Baylor, Baker and Pinella.

Of course isn't it the CUbs they hire the hitting coach in Jaramillo that's supposed to be the hottest thing since sliced bread and our 2 best hitters promptly forget to hit.

Samardzija is actually the epitome of classic Chicago sports. The fact that the 3rd best WR on a Chicago roster is a Cubs pitcher and that he sucks at pitching is so typical of Chicago sports.

Although I'm not 100 percent giving up on him yet. I wonder what would happen if they kept him in one role for a season.
