10:30 AM and I get another show of these two guys giving me the "You can bet on the over for the National Anthem." Ha ha hah

or the "I was going to print them out but there is like 20 pages of prop bets" Ha ha haha

or"I would like to hear how these guys get voted into the hall of fame" Which if you listen to the Score they have broken down for about 2 years.

or the last one "Caller Matt, who wanted to know how tall and heavy Rothlesberger and Rodgers are...because...being the Super Bowl is coming up, HE HAS HEARD A LOT ABOUT THESE GUYS!"

I felt like I was driving in Provo, Utah listening to a couple of guys who do a local talk show and decided to talk sports for the first time because it was Super Bowl Sunday.

While he is well spoken and seems to be a decent guy, Grote can go do a WLS talk show, because everything out of his mouth is "I saw a story...I don't know where"..."I was going to print this out...but didn't"..."I didn't watch that because I had a dinner to attend".

While the guy seems comfortable on the air, he needs to go away as he seems to talk a ton and say nothing.

Time to let the next guy who wants a career step up.

Funny thing is, I can tell Rosenblum doesn't like the guy from awhile ago and I didn't really see why, but now, when I listen to him, I see why. Never prepared for a show, nothing much to really say, except a ton of words.

NEXT!

I listened for a couple minutes and that was enough for me.

Hey Bigfan, Is Grote the guy who is on, like, Saturday mornings or something?

There is some clown who sounds exactly as you are describing who is on some weekend morning. Every once in a while I'll turn on the radio and this guy will be on and it will be so idiotic that I have to turn it off immediately.

It is not even idiocy in a LoHo or Zaidman way, where you can at least understand them as being poor caricatures of some wanna-be ideal.

This guy is just pathetic.

Mark Grote is the designated update anchor on "Mully & Hanley" weekday mornings who recently took over as co-host of 670 The SCORE's Saturday morning show with the Trib's Steve Rosenbloom from 8a-Noon when Brian "The Whipping Boy" Paruch shifted over to 101.9 The MIX a few months ago as "Eric & Kathy's" newsman on their top rated morning show.

The guy in question is "Rodie", better known in my book as "The Dancing Fool", Matt Rodewald. Best known as NBC5's morning traffic dude on their version of "The Today Show" weekday mornings, Rodewald kept referring himself as "Rodie" on the Sunday morning show he co-hosted yesterday on 670 The SCORE with the Chris Chelios-looking Mike Esposito. Rodewald tried not to confuse himself with Grote, but I'm not sure it worked...

I'm guessing this book has plenty of detailed (if amateur) illustrations.

Somehow I feel that I don't want to see them.

Curious, I think there will be a Matt Rodewald sighting this weekend. With the Chicago Auto Show starting this weekend at McCormick Place and given the fact that NBC5 is an official Auto Show partner, "Rodie" will likely be part of the NBC Universal-owned station's live Auto Show broadcast come 6p Saturday along with host Brant Miller, Ginger Zee and others from the station's news team.

As for Mike Esposito, he builds a bridge to another DePaul loss Saturday afternoon on 670 The SCORE, 1-2:45p before the Blue Demons lose another Big East game at West Virginia.

If I can't tell the difference between what they soud like, might not be such a good idea to have them on the same station

That would be like twins playing 2 different characters on a TV show.

I was referring to your hypothetical amateur illustrations of Matt Rodewald, but okay.

On Sunday morning Esposito said that the fortunes of the Packers would ride on the arm of Aaron Rodgers.

Good stuff.
