I'm the guy who supplied the stats research, but in my defense I did say we should pick Scalabrine for the assists prop vs AK47 and IMU went the other way and took AK. We still would've lost by 2 pts because of the advantage, but at least the research would've held up....so there :tongue:

No, you would have won. Remember the CSFMB Survivor Scalabrine rule? All points you earn by Scalabrine count double through the rest of the challenge. See page 9 of the thread.

Challenge #12

NHL time. There are sixteen teams playing in NHL games this Friday. You will pick eight teams. They must all be different and must be from the sixteen that play on Friday. They will score points for you in this fashion (OT and shootouts count):
  • Team A - You will score one point for each goal that team scores.
  • Team B - You will score one point for each goal that team scores. You will receive an additional half point for every power play goal they score.
  • Team C - You will score one point for each goal that team scores, and will receive a three point bonus if the game goes to OT.
  • Team D - You will score one point for each goal that team scores. If the team scores zero goals, you will receive a five point bonus.
  • Team E - You will score one point for each goal that team scores, and a half a point for each contestant that chooses the same team for their Team E.
  • Team F - You will score one point for each goal that team scores. Designate a hockey player from that team. If that player is one of the three stars of the game, you will get three bonus points.
  • Team G - You will score one point for each goal that team scores. Designate an active Survivor contestant other than yourself. If that player does not have this team selected amongst their eight, you will receive an additional 2.5 points.
  • Team H - You will score one point for each goal that team scores. Designate an active Survivor contestant other than yourself and they will have their score decreased by the same amount. If two people pick the same contestant, the reduction will be capped at 5 points. If three or more people pick the same contestant, then that contestant's score will not be decreased at all. If you do not pick another Survivor contestant, you will forfeit any points from Team H.
You must label your teams. If they are not labeled, I will assume they are in the order A through H. Be sure to supply the additional info for F, G, and H.

Tie Breakers
TB1 - Winner of the Chicago/Dallas game
TB2 - Winner of the Anaheim/Calgary game
TB3 - Total goals scored in Colorado/Columbus game

Each player must submit an enty by Friday at 5pm. Remember, you are all now playing individually, so you all must submit. You will pick up a strike if you do not submit an entry. CSFMBSurvivor@gmail.com The highest point total gets elimination from the elimination vote. Good luck!

First vote is cast for shakes. Second vote is for immessedup17. Third vote is for Don Tiny. Votes are being spread around here. Next vote is for Don Tiny and the fifth vote is also for Don Tiny. Sixth vote is for shakes. This puts Don Tiny with three, and shakes with two. Since the tie-breaker is the first vote cast, this final vote will be the deciding factor as to who goes home. If it is for shakes, shakes is gone; anybody else and Don Tiny packs his virtual bags. The final vote is for -- immessedup17.

This means we must bid adeiu to Don Tiny. Don Tiny, you've played admirably and will be the first alternate called upon to serve in the jury if there are any further DQs.
