I liked hearing Rex say...

"Ya know today Ron Turner gave me the Super Bowl game plan - the Super Bowl game plan - that's pretty cool. Today we were practicing with actual Super Bowl game balls. That's pretty cool. It's something I'll never forget."

I like hearing Rex say that. He knows the enormity of this. He was speaking like me or any other fan would. Stay calm kiddo. Stay calm.

Despite all of his other faults, Grossman is a cockly little fucker and I think that will serve him well in this situation. He may understand the enormity of the game, but will probably not be intimidated by it. However, I can see Manning crapping down his leg, especially early in the game. His second half against the Patriots last week was impressive, but still not enough to erase his long history of failing to win big games. While there is no denying that he is a great quarterback, he has yet to convince me that he has finally grown a sack. It may not be reflected in the passing stats, but I will not be surprised to see Grossman respond better than Manning to the pressure of playing in a game this big.

Agreed, TF, and every time he's been doubted across the board, like he is now with the most national pundits dubbing him the worst QB ever to make it to the Super Bowl or claiming that this is the biggest disparity in QB's between teams ever in the Super Bowl. I think Rex will rise to the occasion, and while it may not be an MVP caliber performance, I definitely believe he will perform quite well.

Manning has a legacy that he is supremely concerned about. Grossman has already been voted the worst qb in sb history. I would like that story line to remain for another 8 days.

you know whats strange, if (sorry, when) grossman wins the super bowl, he will already have more rings than dan marino, and just as many as bret farvreerrvere. not to say that he's in the same ballpark as either of those QBs (yet), but its a nice thing to have on a resume..

I LMAO when I saw the graphic. One end of the meter was "Bad Rex", the other end was "Sexy Rexy" with a picture of Rex with Nas's shades on. Good stuff.
