This is it men. Hope no one has a grabber, breaks out in hives, goes on a killing spree in anticipation of today's game. Good luck to the Beloved and hope everyone enjoys Chicago bringing home the Lombardi trophy.

It's almost time for the Rex-O-Meter to go live:

LOL, I didn't forget. I'm going to be trying to record the game to my computer, so my computer will be in the living room connected to my cable box via firewire, and I'm going to go ahead and move the cable modem out there as well, so I can watch the Rexometer and post on this forum. Oh, and I ought to be fairly drunk, so the posts should be interesting. Good times.

Okay, we need a score here. Go into halftime with a lead.

I'd like to see a little bit more out of this fierce [sarcasm] defense. Let's not let fucking Manning do whatever the hell he wants out there! And somebody from Chicago please hold onto the damn ball! And perhaps can we have at least one more good drive?

Bad tackling, bad game planning, and a really bad quarterback. I don't see Rex being a guy you win because of, but he is a guy you will get your ass beat because of. Also, is there a bigger pussy in the NFL than Marvin Harrison, he makes me sick.

Can we PLEASE not do this again? Rex was good enough to get the Bears to the Superbowl. He played like dog shit. I would have liked to have seen a little more creativity on offense and special teams. Was John Shoop calling plays?

They got beat by the better team. There's no shame in that. There were several positions in which the Colts had the better players. QB was just one of them. Bears need better players in the secondary, at QB and at OL and they need a better OC...but then we have known that all year. Hopefully, Angelo will do what he has to do to draft better players at those positions and tell Lovie he has to hire a better OC...and they'll be back.

Coast, I like your view. There's no forseeable reason to believe the Bears can't contend for another several years. They'll have a tougher schedule next season, but this is still a perennial playoff team.

While the defense was not stellar, they should get none, or at least very little of the blame. Actually any blame should be given to Danieal Manning. Bad coverage allows TD, 15 yd facemask penalty, and allowing RBs to bounce off him.

Bad Rex, and questionable play calling is why they lost, plain and simple.

Not enough running plays and pus-armed tosses from Rex's back foot. Why were there not more run plays called? Did they even run the ball 20 times? The O-line and every offensive player should have been rested enough to run run run run and run some more.

You can't really expect a stellar defensive performance from a squad that was on field for as long as they were.

The Colts had one of those playoff runs where everything fell into place for them. Who would have expected the great Belichick to let a huge lead slip away? Who would have guessed the Chiefs wouldn't run their great back 30 times? Congrats Colts, shame on you Rex and Ron.

In my opinion, the game came down to a 2nd and 1 to go. Bears decide (for some reason) to go with the pass to pick up a yard and Rex gets sacked. I got this feeling that the game was over there. Why did Ron Turner not just run it up the gut twice to pick up the first down? grrr...

Back to the chicago sports mantra.. "wait til next year.."

Piss poor play-calling, Rex flat out stunk.

This game was an abortion and I am fucking embarrassed.

I feel bad for the defense and Ron Turner and Lovie should be ashamed of themselves.

Just pathetic.

I just posted the same thing in the Pathetic thread Sam.
Turner has has always been a boob when it comes to strategy. I know, I watched his act for 8 years at Illinois.
