Got word from a guy I used to work with at my old TV station that has quite a few Chicago connections and the word is LoHo's deal is 2 years at $250k/year and guaranteed evening show at minimum with a possible move back to dayshifts.

250k a year for Larry? Ummmm....No. There is no way the Score gives that to him when the White Sox play over 100 weekday night games. Not to mention the fact that the Score has Depaul, NIU and Monday/Thursday night football.

Even if he had full night shows for a year, night time hosts don't make 6 figures in radio.

It does mean the backups are pissed. Cuz the night show would be the natural promotion for them. So Drinky and Goff know that they have at least 2 more years of working for Dan Bernstein. So they congratulated Larry through gritted teeth.

He's doing a 4-hour show in a major market with Bears reporting duties and DePaul BB (plus White Sox?, don't remember), he's making at least $70-75k plus he gets to travel on the company dime. TAKE THAT!!

Pretty sure Mac is in the 300k range. he was pushing 600k at ESPN. I'd have to guess that B&B are at similiar numbers if not a touch higher.

But he doesn't do a full time, 5 days a week, 4 hour show. There are 260 weekdays in a year. For over half of those days, the Score has some sort of game on their air waves. So it's part time. They make him do reporting cuz they have to have something for him to do when he can't do shows. Depaul pays him seperatley. Not the Score. Plus the value of a night show to the Score is far less than the day shows. That's why they try to fill those hours with games.

It's probably 45k a year plus right of first refusal on everything that Bernstein throws in the garbage.

You couldn't get Mac out of bed for less than 350k.

Of course I don't know. I do know that no company pays you more than what you bring to them. That's just common sense. So he gets 80-100k when there are several days in the Spring and Summer when he does half hour shows? Are you kidding me? What world do you guys live in? Just cuz Mitch likes him and he's been there a while? That's how you guys think a major company operates? Wow. If he's worth that much to them, then why the hell are they selling out his slot to Northern Illinois basketball and football?

If that's what he's making, then what the hell is Mitch making?

With bonuses Mitch is probably around 200k would be my guess.

A lot of his full shows are done when the Bulls and Blackhawks are playing. Now it's just common sense to realize that Chicago sports fans are not listening to a Chicago sports show when...Chicago sports teams are playing games!!!! That's why Mitch sells the slot to NIU, Depaul and anybody else that will give him money for the the time. Got it? Good.

explain Whitesox Spring training games then....because nobody listens to those.
