Ok, tell me I am not the only one who heard James Brown say on the pre-game show something like : "In about an hour, the Colts and the Dolphins are going to kickoff". No one bothered to correct the guy....bullshit!

Yeah, only on the HD channel, I think. The one time I switched over to the normal station it was fine.

Nas, isnt this going to get you kicked out of Sox nation? I hope you are right, as a Cub fan, I like the offense they will have, but the pitching is scary and the outfield defense gives me the runs. If Prior can get healthy and pitch like he did in 2003, they should take the division, but they will need some breaks o make it to the big dance.

We did on the HD as well. We were better off than my peeps in Stickney and Hoffman Estates though. It seems they lost Comcast all together during the afternoon. Don't know how they could survive w/o all the pregame bs.

Did any of you watch "Hey Rookie, Welcome to the NFL" on ESPN last night. I'm ready for training camp to start.

i've always had a logical problem with this term. To me, to say you're Bisoxual means you're rooting for the White and Red Sox, since those are the two Sox teams in the MLB. I think BISIDUAL would make more sense since you're in bed with both sides, north and south, of Chicago. A term I used when Cubs fans went over to root for the Sox during their WS run, was "Soxtitute."

and doug - yes Silvy & Carmen are doing critics.

MJH (Silvy and Carmen),

(Even if you guys do not do critics today)

I woulld like to give two huge thumbs down to the callers last week who
suggested the Bears were going to win the Super Bowl XLI because of the
lucky shirt they have, or sitting in the same spot on the couch for every
game, or because something good always happens to them when the number 21 is
involved, or because they have an 80 year old Grandpa who went to the 63
Championship game. Well, you people obvioulsy didn't follow your routines.
So, thanks for ruining a great opportunity for the Bears and the City of
Chicago. We listeners believed in your shirts and your favorite seating
spots and you failed us....Shame on you.
Thumbs Down you big jerks!!!

Who was the moron on the sound byte that kept saying "Hello?"... oh wait... that was me. I still wanna hear Bruce Levine rip me apart. I didn't get to hear it when Silvy and Carm used it as a rejoin.

I don't recall who it was that gave Levine and Coppock a thumbs down for not knowing who I was during Critics - but thumbs up to whoever had my back.

Listening to those two is like eavesdropping on an old couple filling their Depends, reminiscing about days gone by while playing shuffleboard.

carmen gave them the thumbs down grid. he said there's people that are just barely casual fans of ESPN1000 that know who 'grid..' is.

I think there are 2 Grid Irons. The one who showed up to Shoeless Joes and knew nothing about the Bears and the one who calls and e-mails and knows even less.

Ed, after meeting Grid and the Twin Terrors, I think the one who emails all the time is actually his son. Max then uses his father to take him to remotes so he can be in a bar at the age of 12, while dad uses him to win trivia conte...no, that's not it. I'll figure it out.

For reasons I'd rather not discuss now, I was taking a nap when Grid's "Hello..." sound bytes were played. I leapt out of bed, thinking that someone had walked into the house! Freaked the freakin' freak outta me. Thanks, G. Assassin!

Hello...

Hello...

Truth be told, both of my sons were a bit out of it at Champs last Friday night. Max was starting to get sick - he was very ill on Saturday. And I don't know what was going on with Zak, I figured the double fudge brownie Sundae would wake the lil kid up. He was fading and fading fast.

They're normally full of piss and vinegar and eager to pull pranks on people. They gave Harry some 'black mouth' candy from a gag shop at Buffalo Wild Wings a few weeks ago, and they were PISSED it only turned his tongue black. Three guesses who their victim is around the house.
