Unless something else happens between now and the start of the season, Silva has to get one of the rotation spots. He's expensive and we're gonna have to pay him no matter what, and he's essentially useless out of the pen. Maybe we can hope for at leats a solid half-season out of him again...

I knew the minute it happened it would get way blown out of proportion by the media. Chances are almost 100 percent all the players even Ramirez and Silva have completely forgotten about it.

And this fight will have nothing to do with how many games the Cubs win this year although the media will say it.

This happens in football just about every year, on every team. Heck, we saw Coach Ryan tell one of his players to start a fight with Gholston to see how he would respond. Maybe Quade did the same? (I'm not suggesting he did, just a possibility).


IMO, this isn't a big deal. I'm more glad to see Silva actually cares about getting a starting spot, rather than just collecting a check. I just wish he was good at pitching.

it is not a huge deal agreed... but it looks very bad..it is spring training and the new manager looks lost, and sounds overwhelmed. silva sucks and will get rocked this year. just cut his fat ass. this team is going to really suck
