Miss such an event!

If you are not aware it is a pure outcry auction for all the NCAA teams and WINS are predetermined to return X % of the pot.

Bonus Bidding , like the #16 team that gets blown out by the most, etc,

I have been involved in 3 of them and they all die the same death, too good, too big, too much money and they die because nobody wants to cash close to $100,000 in checks at the end.

Always quite a night of bidding especially the last 8 teams when the guys from the Merc showed up and bidding starts at $2000 for a #2 seed.

Picked Cal a long time ago, with Jason Kidd , bought them for $200 and they returned about $9,000, that was a good year!!!

It's a great way of wagering as you win money each round you go.

I usually play in one that has been around since 1979. I haven't done it the last couple years though. I think the last time I did it we had over $300,000 in the pool and Duke and Kentucky cost over $20,000 apiece. I've had a couple good runs with cheaper teams- Indiana when they ran second for Mike Davis and Georgia Tech on '04. I think we paid about $1500 for Indiana and they were worth around $25,000. Good action.

I know of two. One run by guys from the CBOT and another run by a guy. The CBOT one is out of my league and I've never particpated in the other.
