This aint working. Rosie can't stand talking to this guy.

Very DJ Farmer like, Rosie constantly trying to find common ground and Grote doesn't go anywhere, watch anything or know anything, which ends up with Grote trying to convince listeners all moring that Lady Gaga tickets are worht my $100 each (Have no idea on Gag tix cost)

Grote, just an update guy on numerous stations. So not up on almost anything?

As I type...another prime example...."Have you ever been to the Hard Rock hotel in Vegas? Grote of course just answers "uuhh NO"....the point of Rosie's question was to see if Grote is familar with the Hard Rock concept or Musical memorablia. Grote could answer, I have been to a Hard Rock....and I would then say if he has NEVER been to a Hard Rock he should not be on the radio.

Rosenbloom and Paruch was a better pairing, and even that could be highly sketchy at times. The problem with that pairing and this one is that opposites don't always attract: in theory, it seems like a good idea to pair a young, vanilla Radio Professional with some jaded, bitter sportswriting veteran, but when the guy with all the character is also the guy driving the show (being, by now, a perfectly capable radio professional in his own right), then what's the point of the other guy? It's one thing to have a vanilla host with his cantankerous sidekick, but those times when Paruch or Grote would prattle on with some golly-gee observation only for Rosenbloom to effectively say "you have no idea what you're talking about, so don't talk anymore," and be absolutely right, were kind of uncomfortable. You gotta feel bad for the other guy. Rosie needs someone who gives as good as he gets to be entertaining. So does Bernstein, which is why that's always such a good pairing.

The other guy needs to be the straight man and either set the smart ass up or at the very least understand his jokes and Grote is surprisingly a man of nothing.

I have fond memories of the halcyon days of lore back in ~2004 when I'd pop the bus to work on Saturday mornings and be repeatedly told "you're listening to Baum and Rosenbloom.... DEAL WITH IT!"

I'm often an antagonizing texter to the score, so big surprise that I've never gotten a response to my perpetual reminders of that old tagline. Unsurprisingly, I haven't had to deal with much Rosenbloom and Sacrifice over the last few years.

Grote sucks, but Rosenbloom is a smarmy prick. I can only tolerate him with Bernstein.

Rosie is a fucking d-bag on the air. Always trying to play the "I'm a cynical prick!" angle and always ending up sounding like a tool box with 5 lbs of phlegm in his throat. Grote is bad, but so is Rosie and I actually do think it's hilarious that Rosie doesn't try to hide his hatred for Grote so that helps.

Rosie, you suck. Please stop constantly sniffing and snorting on the air, there is a button for that and besides it distracts from your bad sports thoughts and lame ass delivery. Don't talk politics because you know as much about politics as you do about sports...which is nothing. Stop talking over your co-host all the time and stop being a jerkoff. You are bad at radio and you need to go back to concentrating on writing poor, amateur level sports columns.

Steve Doucheenbloom, please get off my radio.

Rosie can be the one to go. To have the job he has, and to constantly whine about doing said job?

Makes for terrible radio.

Could be the most accurate post of the year.
Rosey sucks at both radio and print. Most miserable prick in Chicago radio. Makes North sound good.

Rosie knows nothing about sports, and Grote knows nothing about reality. Seems like an apt pairing to me.

I've become a fan of Rosie. Grote on the other hand has no business hosting a show.

Why is that no surprise?

Miserable pricks sticking together.

Actually, I'm quite happy & content. I'm a glass half full kinda guy. Every day is a good day. Life is too short to waste days on bad days.
