This morning, the talk turned to the fact that Mike apparently spotted an African-American player on the Blackhawks last night (his name is Dustin Byfuglien, I believe). Mike and Fred then traded comments like, "He's really a Black Hawk," "Or is he a Black Black Hawk," "Hey, if he falls down on the ice, it's Black Hawk Down." Fred then contributed this gem--"Well, the Hawks were out on the West Coast; maybe he just got too much sun."

Ah, yes, skin-color-based humor. It's so 2007!

Are you serious? The few minutes I caught they were talking perception of gays. Ridiculous.

Well, I only kind of had him on in the background, waiting for Mully & Hanley to come on (is there any other way to listen to him?), but I think I heard it right.

North's on the kick that he developed the show to what it is over the past 15 years, and if he's going down, he's going down his way. This is why Annie is still there, that he is cutting his own deals, that he is lashing out at managemnt ( thinks that makes him one of the guys on the assembly line who hates their bosses, too!) and that he is doing gay/black jokes - because he thinks his listeners think it is funny. And if you are a 50 plus auto mechanicwho lives in Cicero, it probably is.

No matter what he says, ratings are what the buisness is based on - you don't deliver, you're either out or significantly reduced - if North delivers the numbers, he'll be crowing and there will be nothing any of us ( or CBS management) can do about it.

And we'll be in for more of the same.

He has said many times, "if he had kids, he would never leave them with a homosexual". I cant give dates, but he has said it many times.

To me he is putting homosexuals and pedophiles in the same catagory, I dont see what else he could possibly mean.

I think he's trying to force management's hand and buy him out of his deal.
He just seems to be attacking everything lately, especially in the first hour of his show.

Cant you understand why, its not his fault that his show has failed, it's everyone elses fault, so he has to attack or some people might think he has failed with his hand picked staff and show direction.
