Both Atlanta and Sacramento learned that valuable lesson this week. Mr. Rose doesn't forget tough losses. This reminds me of the Jordan era when they used to average 15 point margins of victory across an entire season.

These last two were definitely statement games by the entire Bulls team. They also had a pretty good beatdown of the Clippers after the tough loss against them earlier in the year. Unless there is some sort of epic collapse over the last 10 games, Thibs is a lock for coach of the year.

They are fun to watch. Frankly, the talent level aside from Rose is not that great. But they play hard (reminds me of early Skiles teams) and seem to find enough scoring. Then when they're hot like the last two nights, it's no contest. I also like the way they bounce back from tough losses. They are going to be tough to beat in a 7 game series.

Just saying Rose is great, and the rest of the team is decidedly average. Deng is having a nice year, Noah is what he is, and Boozer can't play D. Together they play well, but individually none of the other guys are anything special.

Go by the numbers and again, the Bulls rank at the top. As mentioned previously, the Bulls led the lead in scoring 105.2 and ranked second in defense at 92.9 for a 12.2 point differential. The differential for the ’67 Sixers was 9.4 and the ’86 Celtics was also 9.4. The ’72 Lakers posted a tad better mark than the Bulls at 12.3 but when a team averages an impressive 121 points per game but gives up an unimpressive 108.7 on the defensive end, the 12.2 is more impressive thanks to the Bulls defense and the nod goes to Chicago.

Well said IMU.

You can't really compare this years Bulls teams to the decent teams coached by Skiles. The defensive intensity might be similar, but this year's team is better in almost every part of the game. With those teams, if Hinrich and Gordon shot the ball well, the Bulls would probably win. They pretty much lived and died by the long range jumper. Today, Rose can have an off night, and still get you 20 points. He will get to the foul line if his shot isn't there on a given night. The present Bulls can also pound it inside, which is something you couldn't do with Ben Wallace at any time. And as IMU said, the bench on this team is really something. When they are out there against other team's reserves, they have just completely dominated the game. From top to bottom, this team is great.

At the beginning of the season, I thought this team would win the division and be about a 3rd seed with 50-52 wins and they would maybe give Boston or Miami a good series but probably come up short. But now I am 100% drinking the Kool-Aid. This team has impressed me and I can't wait for the playoffs to get here.

Those are good points. I guess when I compare their second and third best players to Miami, Boston, and LA, it seems like we have the weakest. I am not sure how they compare to San Antonio, which seems to be more of a complete team.

i think the bulls have as good of shot at the title this year as anyone. between lakers and boston, chicago isnt a dropoff. thats a really good three way of teams to have at the top of the nba too, for ratings that is.
