Conditions don't have to be perfect to hang out and have a good time...

Then we might as well just go to Lipid's house and play Wii golf instead.

Real golf should never be played in April in terms of a pre planned outing. At best you are gonna get a cold day, at worst you are gonna get a monsoon.

A few things to consider:

-The summer months are typically reserved for large corporate outings at most courses.

- If we want an outing package that could include food, cart, etc. we are going to be pretty limited in terms of available dates for a group our size (figuring less than 20 people).

- With that being said, would a better option be to just book tee times at a course and have every man fend for himself? I don't mind this option at all, but any input would be welcomed.

And yes shakes, I agree that April blows.

let's look around, there's gotta be an option for June/July somewhere.

What about just getting tee times at a sparsely populated course and basically getting the run of the place. We could always work out a deal seperately for food/party room or just have that part of the show at a different location.

Yeah, I'm probably making this a lot more difficult than it needs to be.

Which of the following Saturdays in April and June work best for everyone?

April 9

April 16

April 23

April 30

June 4

June 11

June 18

June 25

shakes has never, ever showed up to any board event. Yet he has bicthed and whined about many of them throughout his time here. Don't change any plans because of him. April was fine.

Let's play in April (people that like to play gold play in March, April, May, etc.....) - and then maybe again June.

Let's see how many people are available in June and April first. If nothing else a smaller group of us can just go in April.

I golfed this past Saturday. It was beautiful out. shakes, if next time you have your vagina operated on instead of your back, you would man enough to wear a long sleeve shirt and get out to shoot a few rounds in April.

If we have a chance for an outing, lets do so in April. We can always try and get 2 or 3 tee times in a row if people want to go in June as well.

June 25th is the only date (so far) that doesn't work for me.
April 9th is 50-50 at best
Every other date posted should be ok at this point

I'd be open to go in April sometime at this point. June too far in advance for me
to even venture a guess what I'd be doing. Even if we just got a couple of
foursomes and went out that would still be fun.

Just called Salt Creek (http://www.saltcreekgolfclub.com/Golf/golf.html)to see when they will begin accepting tee time reservations. They don't start taking them until next week, so I will call at that time and see their availability for the following two dates:

April 16

April 23

I will try to reserve times for 4 foursomes (16 people). Check your calendars for either of those two dates and PM me with your availability. This is going to be first come, first serve.

The golf course itself is incredibly easy and short, so anyone should be able to enjoy themselves (Par 63, so extremely easy as I know some of us haven't played in a long time). Rates are approximately $25.00 non-resident for 18 holes, not including cart. This course is right next to Top Golf if you are familiar with the area.

We will try to do a similar outing in June.

Par 63? That's not a golf course. I guess we'll be leaving the driver in the car, let alone the bag.

If I'm not busy that day and the weather is nice I'm in.

April looks bad for me. Any Saturday in June would work except the 18th.

Stop sandbagging. You might've sucked at golf at one time, but that was back when you had an old golf shoe bag. Now you have a new one, problem solved.

You are correct Shakes. I believe the longest hole on that course is 250 yards so no need for a driver. You can actually get by with not using a 3 or 5 wood either. It's not a true 18 hole course, it's two independent nines. You dont need a cart, it's like 2000 yards a side to walk.

-- Adding on: there is one hole that is over 300 yards (forgotten that). You may use driver once or twice depending on the wind.

I think people are just pointing out your shortcomings. It's ok though Ugie - no one will make you take a shower there with a bunch of dudes.

Neither of those April dates work for me so I'll have to catch the one in the summer if there is one.

Definitely 18 holes. Salt Creek is fine by me. Any weekend in April is fine by me. Weekends get busier and busier as spring turns to summer.

Make it happen.

2000 yards a side is my type of course. I get to use the Par 3 Wood!
