yeah i agree silva is the one who needed to go first, but would have been a nice surprise to see j.s. not make the roster (he should not have) small step in the right direction.

You get rid of Jeff Smardzija, you then are stick with Berg, Diamond or some other rag arm.

You have held Jeff S. for 4 years, might as well hold on to him this last year and see if there is any improvement. If not, then your rid of him after this year.

Silva seems to be a cancer and would be addition by subtraction. Smardzija does not seem to be a prick or a clubhouse cancer.

Just really bad at baseball. At least the pitching part. Maybe they can make him a catcher. Baseballs are smaller than footballs.
