Well, the Cubs & Hendry & Quade have made the Yahoo home page as a lead story for the way these 2 pussy's handled the Carlos Silva release. There is absolutely no leadership whatsoever in the Cubs organization, from Ricketts down to Quade.

Don't assume because you care that Cub fans care.

All I care about is the product on the field. This move makes them better and gets rid of a fat asshole. They could of had Yosh come into the clubhouse and tell Silva he was cut and I wouldn't give a damn.

Do you honestly care who gave him the news Scorehead? Is that going to affect your ticket or viewing decisions?

It shows a lack of leadership. I am a fan of good leadership. The Cubs have no leadership.

Even Joe friggin' Cowley said Quade looked good coming out of this. How does having someone other than your pitching coach telling Silva he was cut get you closer to a championship? They could have gone Major League and left a red tag in his locker to tell him he was cut and that would have been fine. I bet Ryne Sandberg would have blown Silva to make him feel better after he cut him.

Again, is the way they cut Carlos Silva going to affect your time or dollars spent on the team? I'm guessing no.

It's really just turned into an issue for people to complain about who were just looking for one.

The Cubs handled it fine and Quade comes out looking good considering the comments he made taking ownership.

Template = a model or standard for making comparisons.

Terry and the guy that takes pictures of his wang on Saturday mornings use the same one.

no, of course not...but it's representative of the team's wider behavioral patterns of bullying players around when theyre down, and it needs to be noted

Bad leaders cant handle the difficult issues & delegate the communication of bad news to underlings like Hendry & Quade did. I'm sure that many of us have worked with pussy Managers like this who don't have the balls to do their job. One thing these kinds of leaders have in common is that no one respects them. They are viewed as soft & afraid.
I have had to fire a few people in my career & never once did I ask one of the Managers who reports to me to do my dirty work. I put on my big boy pants, manned up & handled my responsibility.
This was Quade's first big moment as Cubs Manager, dealing with a malcontent & general pain in the ass. It was his first chance to display some leadership & to let the rest of the players know that there is a new sheriff in town & in charge. Instead, Quade has the pitching coach do his dirty work then goes on the air talking like a tough guy. Pussy.
How do you think Ozzie would have handled this?

Who cares. A fat pitcher who basically has sucked for about 5 years was released. Who the hell cares who told him?
