Oh, I agree with the move 100%. But sooner or late the Jim Hendry shit show has got to end. Unless Ricketts is dumb enough to think that he has value.

see that is what i think happened...hendry desperately wanted silva to make the roster and produce at least something.. and quade told hendry /ricketts nah this guy should go...this makes hendry look even worse...hendry will be canned a week after the season ends, writing is on the wall hendry is on borrowed time.. this is good on every level for cubs fans

I think y'all be reading too much into the Silva thing.....Besides Dan Bernstein assured me that Hendry was fired last year. Full Stop.

Don't forget, Jake Fox winning the triple crown this year is really going to hurt hendry's reputation. As did getting rid of Matt Murton right before he BLEW UP and became an international sensation.

Looks like Jake Fox managed to piss off not just the opposing team, but his own manager by breaking an unwritten rule. Most likely to help pad his Hall of Fame worthy spring training stats.

How will Ricketts be able to evaluate potential GM candidates? Who is going to help him determine who is good & right for the Cubs? Crane Kenny? Ricketts will probably just promote the assistant GM, Randy Bush to GM.
